I have a question for you, how do you remove the screen protector on the original GBA? I've got mine all pulled apart for cleaning, and I ordered a replacement screen cover to make sure I'm scratch free. But I don't know how to get the old one out. Do I just push on it from the inside, or what?

LOL! People actually get "pissy" about reproduction cartridges? Fuck em. I'd buy a reproduction cart of Demon's Crest in a heart beat. I can't afford the 100 Euro price tag at the moment. I'd love an original cart, but I wouldn't be bothered or continue to pursue the original cart any further, if there was a reproduction cart going for 50 Euro or under on the market.

Yup, just push!  It's glued on, that's all.

Do as Wiggy has said, but if its really stuck there, try letting it soak in water for the night. Baby/Cooking I oil would be good too, as it loosens up glue pretty well, and as you won't be using that screen again, it doesn't really matter what happens to it. You can just clean the casing with some warm water soapy water.

I've never had a single GBA with a lens that won't pop off by just pushing, and I've torn down 100+ ;)

Just keep on pushin' on! ;D

Just push it really hard. You won't hurt anything. I've switched quite a few of those little lenses before  :)

Yeah, I got the lens off easy enough.  Hot soapy water and a toothbrush worked great to clean out the case too. Now I'm just waiting for my new lens to arrive  that I can get it all back together.

Cool beans.

Just an FYI, those lenses scuff/scratch REALLY easily. Like, a microfiber towel will scuff them :-\ I've got glass lenses if you ever want one. They're pretty dang sweet IMO :)

I expect my new GBA to get little play, but I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the heads up.

No prob!

So, had some business "pickups" today :P  I've needed a lot of this stuff for a while now, and with 100+ micro faceplates here to clean up and package, I bit the bullet.

New Dremel since my old one is noisy as hell and only has 2 speeds, sweet Dremel drill press-type jig thing, new guillotine cutter, new hot knife (old one took a crap on me), and some Glacier GBA shells.

So, my wife has gone into labor a tad early (32 weeks). She's been in be hospital for the last 4 or 5 days, and baby isn't interested in waiting anymore.  I think baby might take after me in that way. Probably bored out of its mind in there after 8 months of sitting around doing nothing :P

Anyway, it sort of goes without saying that I've been away from my desk for a few days and I'm rather behind on everything from answering emails/PMs/blog comments, to completing mods, to pretty much everything else that I do from day-to-day.

Gotta run. Be back with updates as they come.
