Update Log Day 2: The rain finally hit at an unknown time this morning due to me being asleep...probably between the hours of 3-5 am. Flooding started yesterday night before the rain hit in the really bad flood zones. Fortunately I am still safe. Governor declared state of emergency and ordered all cars off the road unless it's an emergency. Storm should get worse by 3pm today and continue throughout tomorrow...high tide will be at 8pm and most likely the most serious flooding will occur around that time. Streets have been closed off and most businesses are closed, with some planning on closing early. A few others are still open and I feel horrible for my old coworkers who work at Wells Fargo...they have to remain open the entire day. At least so far...still no update from them but I hope they get home safe and sound. Also, guess a lot of gamers might be disappointed in that they won't be able to make the midnight launch of Assassin's Creed 3 lolz (first world problems) Anyway, I'll try to take some more pictures and put them up once things start picking up...I don't feel like going out to the serious flood zones so the pictures i'll be taking will be from within the safety of my own home haha. For now though if I look outside it's just a typical rain storm. |

Hope you lads go alright through this thing! Where I live in Australia Hurricanes arn't really an issue, Bushfires are a far more pressing concern (and of course arsehole spiders, bastard snakes and just about everything else that's alive wanting to kill you). Best wishes to you all and your families. |

It is a good day to not live in the East of North America. |

I got heavy winds and rain. Some areas have been evacuated, such as Bridgeport. A lot of places have lost power, but not mine. Still very tame. The police and emergency crew have been saying to the places they are evacuating that if you sty and you are trapped on your roof, that they are not going to come and help you. :-\ There are cars on the street outside. I think some stores might be open. I'm tempted to go for a walk . . . |
