Theres actually a self booting port for the dreamcast you could burn but it doesnt run at full speed..

what speed does it run at?, might have to make a copy...

looked it up, 95-100% so this might  be a better option...

Ok cool. Keep me posted and let me know how it turned out. Id definetly like to burn this again if it plays fast enough to fully enjoy. Plus I think it supports 3 or 4 players now as were the one I tried was only 2 players at the time. Pretty sure it was ported sing the JAP region rom.

If all is good, Ill whip us up a nice DVD cover to go with it.

ok, DL'd, and tried it on my DC, got a couple of vids uploading now, will update when there online, but dont get your hopes up...

edit: alright, heres the 2 videos;

http://s782.beta.photobucket.com/user/gameathlon/library/cadillacs%20and%20dinosaurs

tried to link directly but wasnt working for some reason...

the one which starts with the colourful image is the DC version, the other is MAME, the vids both have a bit of audio lag, but hopefully youll see the difference between the 2 (hint; dc=shit pc=perfect)!

Looks like that's what I'm going to have to do then. All the tuts to soft mod the Xbox look extremely complicated.

Aw man, soft modding an old Xbox is a piece of cake (at least that's how I remember it. Been a out 10 years since I've done one).  There have got to be some decent YouTube vids about it.

@Doc - That's because it IS a PC ;) But seriously, the old Xbox is far and away the best EMU console IMO. Handles most everything without issue, even N64.

its pretty easy, i used the hot swap method, cos im cheap like that!
you can add a usb port to your xbox controllers, seeing as how they just use a slightly modified usb input, then you can just transfer the files via a compatible usb stick, rather than seeking out the action replay kit, which, as far as im aware is the only other method of soft modding.
the thing is, not all usb sticks are compatible, there is a list on the web of which ones are, dont have a link though so youll have to google for it.

If your okay with boots you can always buy the JAMMA board for a reasonable price.  I got a Chinese boot of this game for my cabinet and it plays like a charm.  Or if you really want a console route you can get a supergun, but the Xbox plus MAME is definitely the cheapest route you could take to get a similar experience.
