tiktektak: Personally, I don't care one way or the other. I hold no love for the guy. Yes, he's made some great covers. But I won't give him a "free pass" based on that alone. I just figured that as long as he was hovering around to see what kind of pity posts he gets here, he may as well see what I had to say. Ultimately, as long as he continues to think and act as if he's infallible, then I don't really care what he does. I've got no patience for that. |

I don't have personal opinions of anyone here, after all, I don't personally know anyone. I respect the work of anyone that has a passion to do it - even if I don't personally like it. However I am always sad to see someone with talent leave the project. Although I also get tired of hearing people say they came here for the quality, and then bitch if submissions are rejected. I myself became exasperated at the speed covers were added, or the nit picking early on. But I appreciate the time it takes to check covers, and the fact that I am here in the first place because of the quality, which is because of the nit picking. I do agree with segamer on one point, and that's that the current system doesn't work. There are too many submissions for the few admins to sort through. This discussion is happening in the background, and there may be a solution in hand, but in the mean time, people just need to accept current rules, and produce the best quality covers they can. At the end of the day, this is a hobby site, and people shouldn't take the comments of others on the site so personally. If you love doing this you're only hurting yourself by not being part of it. And that's not clever! |
