Am I the only one that won't move on to the next generation?

Maybe 3+ years into the system's life I'll get one but lately the $60 price tag on games is in no way enticing lol.  I'd rather wait for a complete/goty edition or for huge price drops (at least 50%) or for special sales before buying games.

I may still pay full price for some but those would have to be some sort of limited special editions.

I am the same way. I have very rarely paid full price for my ps3/wii games. I'm actually loading up on wii games now. They are basically giving them away. I picked up Wario Land:Shake It and Tamagotchi Party for less than $10 together and they were brand new! I also dislike ending up with two copies of the same game. I have Fallout 3 and the GOTY Fallout 3. But my original Fallout 3 was the collectors edition. So I guess that made it a little better.

I know I will be. I always do. I usually wait for portables to be dirt cheap, but home consoles are always on my must-have list at launch.

I also have a massive backlog, but that doesn't matter at all to me. I don't buy 15-20+ games a month thinking I'm actually gonna play them all through. Lets be realistic here, folks.  If you own 500+ games, then there's no way you're gonna play em all through unless you do nothing but play games all day.

I'm sorta miffed that I missed the pre-order train on the Wii U. That wasn't an option with the Wii and PS3, so I figured it wouldn't be an option for the Wii U and of course I found out that every freakin' place on Earth took pre-orders this time around. Pisses me off.

Are all the pre-orders gone already? I thought about doing a WiiU, just so I can transfer everything from my wii, to my wiiU. I bought a 3DS in like May. I wish I would have waited cause if the Animal Crossing 3DS XL package comes out in the states I'm going to get that. Then I will have two 3DS'.  :-\

I waited until the 360 released the elite versions to get mine. Got my PS3 a year or so later. And the Wii after that.

I refuse to buy launch day stuff. I'm not made of money, the available titles usually suck, i want to know the bugs and problems with them first.

With the SEVERE lack in interest with my current Wii, I don't see me getting the WiiU within the next year or 2...ALTHOUGH....a Pro controller compatible Zelda game COULD push me just a bit

The NEXT generation?  I'm still stuck about five generations back!
