Well, this piqued my curiosity, so I did a search of TCP on repro and found an earlier thread about Little Samson and why it's taboo to make repros of retail games.

I found this youtube vid about Little Samson and am interested in trying. It looks like a pretty awesome game.

It'd be neat if there was a way to make repros that couldn't be abused by pirates. Like what if the cartridge case was clear and permanently bonded to the motherboard and it had "repro" stamped on so that there would be no way to mistake it with the real thing or for a counterfeiter to swap the cases? I wouldn't mind going the repro route to finish off my SNES collection since the prices for originals are crazy now.

I'll probably end up just doing a powerpak or something instead even though it's not the same as having cased, individual games.

just opening the cart itself you can see if its an original or not, fake snes has tsop chips on it, and nes has wires that bypass inside

Where do you get your repros?

i make them myself, if your looking to get some repro, you'll need to join the dark side that'll Zeanhaven will surely PM you.

well got pissed of the other day while yet again looking thru loose cables for the cable i was looking for decided to just pack them in old vhs cases, found a lot of 20 vhs cases, decided to make something temporary for my cables, these are the cases i made for the snes and nes power packs and my sega saturn cable, tho i cant use em to make dreamcast nor n64 controller cases, not deep enough, but for now i got boxes for nes snes saturn controllers, tho the av cable i did build cases for n64 power pack and the av cable, like i said, nothing fancy for now
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/yipjw1r0qbw5hq2/t8cifvKpMf

when it comes to nes repro game i thought it was complicated, tho more easier then i expected, ended up making a copy of earthbound zero and holy diver, no pictures of those i didnt make the labels for them so far

bought a new programer, since i have no idea if the tsop i build are good, or the adaptor i build for the crappy programer i have dosent work, so ended up buying a 48pin programer, that mean i can program genesis repros eventually.

added the following game during the last month
Snes: sonic blast man, Soul blazer, pink goes to hollywood, tiny toon buster busts loose.
Dreamcast: fighting force 2, pso ver 2, U.F.C, time spliters, slave zero, outtrigger, virtual on and sonic adventure 2.
Ps2 : Disgaea 2, Extermination
Ps1: Command and conquer, crash bandicoot, tomb raider, Pandemonium, tony hawk 2 and 3, CTR
ps3:golden eye reloaded (got it for 5$) and disgaea 4.
Nes : megaman 1 and 5, legendary wings, solomon's key, low G man, renegade and dig dug 2
Genesis : columns and eternal warrior

cant wait for next week, going to the flea market near montreal, last year  i came back with over 30 games
Gameboy: megaman xtreme 2 and kirby dream land 2
NDS: mega man zero collection

I wonder how many guys have considered insuring their collection. My game library is small potatoes compared to a lot of the folks here, and my game stuff is getting to the point where I have anxiety thinking about the worst case scenarios when it comes to my place and the game collection.

Heh, I know that feel, its hurricane season and once again I am sweating bullets. I would love to insure it just tricky as the market fluctuates a lot. I would easily say my current collection is around the 30k mark in terms of value.. simply due to the vast amount of crap and random rare items I have
