Well, this piqued my curiosity, so I did a search of TCP on repro and found an earlier thread about Little Samson and why it's taboo to make repros of retail games. I found this youtube vid about Little Samson and am interested in trying. It looks like a pretty awesome game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o2EEOw8vFo It'd be neat if there was a way to make repros that couldn't be abused by pirates. Like what if the cartridge case was clear and permanently bonded to the motherboard and it had "repro" stamped on so that there would be no way to mistake it with the real thing or for a counterfeiter to swap the cases? I wouldn't mind going the repro route to finish off my SNES collection since the prices for originals are crazy now. I'll probably end up just doing a powerpak or something instead even though it's not the same as having cased, individual games. |
