Hey guys.

I have a dilemma here when it comes to game placement.
I've been thinking of seting my games on the shelf in order of console, (Xbox games set only by Xbox games, GameCube games set only by GameCube games, etc.), but I have series of games that are multi-platform, (I.e. TimeSplitters, Zelda and Resident Evil games.).
So, should I set it up by platform without reguard to the series? Or should I put the series together without reguards to the platform?

Thanks!

There are a different schools of thought on this, and it's all up to what you think looks/works best, but I always group by console.

What these 2 guys said ---^^  ;D

My personal preference on how I do mine is games by system, not series.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

same for me, but if I had more space i might consider 1 shelf to display a series i was particularly fond of, or certain packaging that i liked.  I cant actually think of any series that i am fanatical enough about to do this with though.

I have mine at least organized by system, but I am seriously contemplating paying one of my wife's gamestop employees to come alphabetize it for me lol

I organize mine by system as well, then put them in order alphabetically.  However, if there are multiple games in a series on a system but their order is messed up by their title, I'll put those into whatever order I feel is best, to keep them all together.  For example, my Resident Evil games on PS2 are organized by their chronological placement in the series timeline: RE:Outbreak 1, RE: Outbreak 2, RE:CVX, RE: Dead Aim, RE4.

Lol, it frustrates my girlfriend to no end on how I alphabetize my collection.  My dvd's, blu ray and movies are all in alphabetical order.  We even joke around saying that when I'm not around she's gonna move everything around and de-alphabatize everything and when she's not around I'm gonna alphabetize her movies (she doesn't play games lol)

But I dunno...if it's in alphabetical order I just think it's easier to find if/when I want to play a certain game instead of going through a whole row of games :\

That being said...I do organize them by system and then alphabetically.  Certain sequels to games/movies though that have completely different names I will order chronologically.  ex: Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers.  Alphabetically they'd be out of order so I do it chronologically starting from the first of the series.

While it's a serious case of OCD that I admit having...I don't mind at all lol

I arrange them by Systems, then Alphaberical, then by series generally by the name of the first entry, or common title,

for example, I put the Rambo movies in F's for First Blood, and the James Bond movies in the J's.
My LPs Channel. Currently playing Legend of Zelda: Windwaker HD, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Resident Evil 2.

Lol, yeah I know that's true and I probably can also...but like I mentioned, my OCD won't let me have it in any other way.

But it's only when I have them shelved...the games/movies I have closed off in somewhere else I don't care what kind of order it's in.

I put the Rambo movies in F's for First Blood

Why wierdo?  ;D
Rambo (main name) goes to R. First blood is the subtitle
Bonds probably To J too or 0 for 007.
