Here in Austria the WiiU also costs 350EUR (450USD) for the premium package and 400EUR (590USD) for the Limited ZombiU bundle!
2 + 3 = 23

[MORE RANTING] - sorry...
Still, Nintendo could've partnered with a Polish company for distribution. Maybe even CD Projekt.
And I checked the Austrian Nintendo site - much better looking then the Polish one. Same company, but it's no surprise they favor their home country than some foreigners.

Also, Poland doesn't get the ZombiU bundle.

Maybe Poland isn't really important.

Yeah I actually agree with this. This is my only real complaint with the system. I don't really like anything glossy anymore.

^^^ You would think that Microsoft and Nintendo would've learned from Sony with that one. EVERYONE bitched about the high gloss finish on the original PS3. Looks great for 5 minutes. Then you touch it and dust happens. It doesn't hide either. High gloss white is better, but we all know the color of "high tech and sleek" is black not white :(

I don't think it would've mattered if they "partnered" with anyone. It's most likey a matter of numbers. How many units totally are gonna end up in Poland?  I feel that's the number one issue. Without the high volume like the US would have (not to mention our struggling economy), the relative high distribution cost per unit needs to be offset, which unfortunately means higher MSRP :(

Not just that, but technology went black years ago, and you know what they say... ;D

But I'd have to agree with the sentiments above.  The gloss black is horrible at showing fingerprints.  Thankfully I have mine in an area that you don't really see the console itself in full light, but the faceplate of the gamepad is the same way and I keep that displayed on top of my console shelving so it receives full light and full reflection and it's just one giant fingerprint smudge already.  Guess I'm going to have to break out the white gloves before playing NSMBU from now on. :p

Normally if it were a handheld, I'd say they plan to release a matte finish version. When I first saw the 3DS, I knew there would be a second design that was more comfortable and matte finished, and sure enough they did with 3DS XL. But since it's a console and a special controller that is tied to that system, I don't know if there will be a redesign. We didn't really see one with N64 or GameCube, and the 2 Wii redesigns barely count.

Speaking of redesigns, I love that both Nintendo and Sony have both officially released Xbox 360 copycat controllers of their own LOL!  At least they aren't denying that it's a great design.

Well, the Xbox controller is a combination of a GameCube controller (left stick and d-pad reversed) and an SNES controller (ABXY buttons mirrored). I still prefer the PS layout.

And no more ranting from me - was just venting pent-up steam. I'm good now.

I don't see the GC connection at all personally.  That thing was like the worst controller that N ever made IMO :(

Either way, the best controllers, in my opinion, are still the Logitech F-series for PC. PlayStation layout, rubber padding, best d-pad excluding the SNES and compatible with both DirectInput and X-Input.

Turn on Wii U to check out what's on the VC these days. Needs an update. Tells me 2 hours to update. Fuck this stupid thing.

I absolutely do NOT have time for this shit with these modern consoles. What garbage.

It is pretty ridiculous how often these systems need to be updated but for me it only took like 15 minutes. Still too long to just sit and wait but nowhere near 2 hours.
