Wii U Launch

I guess you do not have to worry about updates, but I think some games might have them on disc.
I have the Homebrew channel too, the Homebrew browser does make loading apps on easier, but is not necessary.

Still, I don't see why this crippled Wii would be of any more interest to the hacker community than the normal Wii ???

I don't know about the hacker community, but I would personally rather use a small, limited Wii to commit to homebrewin'. My original Wii is fully of VC games and important save files which I do not want to risk compromising. (Feel free to call me crazy)

So why not just grab another normal Wii then? They can be had for next to nothing. I just don't see the need for a different piece of hardware to do what can already be done. I want one as well, but just for collecting purposes. It'll never get used.

Yeah, that's totally an option, Wiggs, and you're right about not needing a different piece of hardware, but I also figure that if I do want a Wii for homebrewing, then why not get one that's different from what I currently have? Variety is the spice of life my friend! That, and cumin!

My plan is once original wiis drop to about $20-30 a pop i'll buy one for each room in my house.
Having a machine for netflix and homebrew would be a good set up for guests. ;D
