--- Quote from: palmer6strings on October 17, 2012, 08:31:17 AM ---I can normally obtain NESs pretty easily but it's usually always console and the coax cable only. And sometimes the console is pretty rough or oxidized. I only have 3 fully functional systems. One I'm going to be giving to my dad the other 2 I am keeping unfortunately. If you could handle not having a power cord and a rough system, I may be able to slap everything else together for you. --- End quote --- the thing is, as im building this for someone else, i think the console should be in really good condition, also this person has said the minimum he would need would be the console and power supply, i have a controller i could throw in and the yellow and white A/V cables are dirt cheap... if you could get the console in reasonable condition with a power supply i think we could do a deal... |

if this one's for me, then the condition of the console is definitely higher priority than cables. ;D |

I will see what I can do. Power supply's are hard to come by for some reason. |

You don't even need the original NES power supply. The NES-001 "toaster" is rated at 9v AC - very atypical. Becuase it's input is AC, you can also substitute a DC power supply of either polarity. Therefore, any power supply that gives 9v and around 700mA will work. The NES is probably the least fussy console in existence when it comes to power supplies. Hell, you could use a 12v psu, but that puts extra stress on the 7805 voltage regulator. |
