New Designs Posted...  Preview Pics can be found on Page 3 of this thread.

Listings can be found here...

http://www.ebay.com/sch/rockshapedteddybear/m.html?item=170949217161&pt=Video_Games&hash=item27cd5e0b89&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

I know many of my fellow TCP members already have games and cables for their NES so if you're interested in adding one of my systems and controllers to your collection but don't need the games and/or cables, just let me know and we can work out a discount for not shipping those.

Also, if anyone is interested but, for whatever reason, doesn't use eBay feel free to contact me and see if we can work something out.  Heck, even if you do use eBay and are interested, feel free to contact me here.  So long as an item doesn't already have bids, I'm able to end a listing without penalty and always like not having to pay eBay fees if I can help it.  :)

The Raiders called - they want their NES back!

Seriously, good job!  That green system looks spectacular - seriously, one of the best jobs I have seen on a custom console.  It's not so much the quality of the paint job that matters, it's the way the paint contrasts with the other colors in the project.  The green paint looks great with the red Mario decal and red buttons on the controller.  It just "jumps out at you," since red and green are color opposites.  Your other systems are rad, but that green one is my pick, for sure!

...

Raiders, Bo Jackson... crap, I'm off to play some Tecmo Bowl  ;D

Thanks...

LOL.  I didn't even think of silver and black being raiders colors.  Had a yellow in my hand when I spotted the silver color and thought that might look nice so I grabbed the silver.

The only thing I almost don't like about the green one is the 'game over' sign.  In hindsight, I probably should have put it on a bit more obviously askew than it did so anyone who doesn't know the story behind the theme could tell that it was meant to be crooked and not just a badly laid decal.

You know, I had initially thought of painting the buttons black as well, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to keep them red.  They just kinda scream "Push Me!" being red.  LOL.

That's pretty cool!

You know, I have a guy that could make custom overlays for the NES controllers. Having matching overlays would be nice to go with your paint jobs. The material is the same and the texture is very close to the original.

Hmmm... That might be kinda cool.  I had a lot of fun doing these so I plan on doing at least a few more sometime down the line.  I don't think I could afford to add custom overlays to these right now, but if the sales go well, I may definitely be interested in getting some for future projects (no worries if no one on TCP is interested in purchasing them, just figured I'd give my fellow game enthusists first shot at them before moving to eBay).

Do you happen to have some photos of these custom overlays in action?

Not for this purpose, but I do have pics of them in automotive applications (I used to be a vendor on a few car forums). I'll try and dig up some pics.  Stuff like custom HVAC overlays, gauge cluster faces, etc.

Aftermarket gauge faces

Here you can kinda see how the material and texture are pretty much exactly like the NES controller overlay.

Thanks Wiggy.  Those look great...  I shall most assuredly keep the custom overlays in mind if I do any other consoles or controllers.

Sounds good :)

They aren't terribly pricey. I'd just have to make a vector template and graphics, unless you can do that.

@wiggy - I wouldn't even know where to begin with that.  I suppose figuring out just what a vector template is would be a good place to start though.  LOL.

- I did one solid black.

This is more to my liking.

I actually like that too;  It's ominous and forboding, yet so elegantly simple.  Nice
