So PETA made a new game to promote hatred for pokemon games.

Oh God, remember when they attacked Mario, and people joked about how it would be funny if they attacked Pokemon.

I saw this earlier when a friend posted it on FB. I'm getting sick of this crap. Not because they are attacking Pokemon, but because the only reason they are doing this is because of all the free publicity they get from gamers throwing us a shit storm. It worked in the past with the other games. They do this all the time, purposely throwing out something controversial so the media reports it and gives them free publicity.

They have done some good things in the past, but this, and other stupid stunts completely overshadows them making them a complete joke.

I am surprised they haven't even heard of Tokyo Jungle yet.

Personally, when I saw the picture, I thought PETA was FOR chaining up animals, huge mixed messages since Pokemon do not normally have a ball and chain connected around their throats!

  • It's dangerous to go alone...
Isn't that a violation of copyright as well? And wait a second... isn't this counter-productive for them? They're wasting time and energy protesting a video game with (extremely mild) fake "violence" between fake animals, instead of directing their efforts towards protesting any one of the REAL companies which is actually hurting and killing real animals. That's about a mixed up as you get...

And seriously, does a fighting game get any more mild than Pokemon? Instead of protesting a game where people beat the bloody shit out of one another and crap on their remains, they go for the kiddy game where none of the combatants really get hurt, there's no blood, and nobody dies?

I just don't understand...
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

@tbonesteak4dinner

It is under fair use in copyright law, it is a parody.

On your second point, that is the reason why PETA is a joke, even though hey helped uncover some real animal abuse. They pull stupid stunts attacking things that should not require the attention while ignoring serious issues.

PETA's just crazy. I don't think anyone takes them seriously at this point. They like trolls, but IRL.

I think its hilarious that they post this yet they want to euthanize all pets. "Animals are not pets they are equals".....yet they kill 95% of strays within 24 hours of receiving them, pfft lunatics.

Lol, just finished playing the game...they really really stressed the whole keeping animals locked up in a pokeball and even went so far as to say that Ash doesn't take them for a walk!  -_-

Then they even added a video about real animals and how they were mistreated.  I think that they were just bored and had nothing else to do...so why not attack a kids show that from what I've seen has enforced the connection and friendship between a human and it's pokemon (pet).  I can't even count how many times Ash has cried over his stupid pikachu being hurt.
