As bad as this flood is this year its still crazy to think just how far away it is from that red line on the Alton grain building for the 93 flood.  For those not from STL area, the last video shows a red line on a white building.... that line is where the water was at in the flood of 93.

Wow.  I certainly haven’t seen anything about it over here.  That’s crazy! But yeah, climate change isn’t really a thing....right?  ???

Correct, not quite as high as 93, but it is a little closer to that line today compared to where it shows in the video.  On Tuesday, they closed the flood gates by the plant where I work.  With current crest pr predictions, my building is safe but the water is damn close.

Not yet.  I'm waiting until he is a little older before we go through all of the movies.  I want him to be able to sit through them all before we do that.  However, he as a small understanding of some of the basics already, and he can recognize the major characters.  He was super scared about going  up on stage, but afterwards he said he loved it.

Also earlier in the day, some Storm Troopers came by and we were trying to get a picture of my kids and nephews with them.  The boys were kind of scared so I yelled out "Don't worry.  If they shoot at you they always miss!!!"  Then one of the Storm Troopers turned to me, pointed at me and said "You're rather bold."  It was pretty cool. It made my day that he acknowledged my stupid joke.   8)

I almost forgot.  The only downside to the Jedi Training was that for the rest of the day, my oldest son and nephew were trying to force choke me.  Maybe they learned more from Darth Vader than their Jedi trainer.   :-\

Force choke you... too funny! My daughter identifies with the dark side and wants Darth Vader to be her father. She's always rooting for the Empire. It's odd.

Coverage of the 1987 IFMAR 1/10th Off-Road World Championship. I remember reading coverage of this event in RC Car Action magazine back in the day. It was enough to get me more serious about participating in organized competition... Oddly enough, after a 15+ year hiatus from the hobby, I'm seriously reconsidering taking it up again - tha advances in technology are ridiculous! Anyway, enjoy!
