if you are taking about gamestop.. to each his own.... nobody forces people to trade games for peanuts at gamestop if you are referring to their trade-in practices... I never had traded anything to gamestop but I have bought plenty from them... As a collector i look for the cheapest i can pay for a game i want, i have plenty of time to look for a game and i don't rush to buy what's hot and new (or vintage). my collecting just sits there looking pretty anyways so why am i going to shell out a lot of money for it. Same practices can be said for big retails like wallmart but in the long run everyone wants to pay the lowest they can for whatever they want... just saying... ;D

I agree with this 100%

From and entertainment value perspective:
I never really understood people complaining about spending $60 on a game and getting $30 back later.
  -  Buying a movie is $20 for 90-120min of entertainment (~$10 per hour). Good luck trying to get more than $1 (DVD) - $4 (BluRay) back.
  -  Buying a game is $60 (on average) for 8 hours of entertainment (~$7.5 per hour) ... but wait you can get back 1/2 of that money after you have completed the game?!?  So you can enjoy the best games for $3.75 an hour ... uhh thats a good deal.  Then you get more if you bring it back when the game is relatively new.
  -  "but then the games are resold for higher than you gave me" ... Uh Yeah, its called a business. Nothing is free especially, rent, electricity, advertising, shipping, refurbishment centers and paying someone to work at the store to make the product available to the consumer.

If you don't want to sell a game back ... then don't. There is no one forcing you to  ;)

---------mini-rant end--------------  ;D

I would just be patient and keep checking Gamestop stores in your area.  Some will eventually trade in a copy.

I didn't start actively collecting PS2 games until the PS3 came out and 90% of my PS2 collection came from either Gamestop / EB Games, Online Classifieds, or Pawn Shops.  It took about 4 years to find every game I wanted but I didn't overpay for any of them.

Only thing is that with MPT it might be difficult to find it with all the inserts that came with it.

Yeah, mine came without the art pages or instruction book, but Nintendo still sells the latter on their website.
