Got these today traded in 4 copys of command and conquer 3 copys of rainbow six and a copy of jeopardy for the n64.

where did you trade them in at? I've got a ton of N64 dupes and never even thought of trading them in lol.
Around here there is a place called vintage stock, but they end up trying to rip you off in the end. Plus there is a few independent stores that have old games.

I wish I had a place like that, even with high prices. I think I'm going to make up a list of my dupes and see what Bald Guy Video Games offers me
If its enough to get a few games Id be happy. Anytime I get dupes its because I get them less than a dollar each. lol.  I just hope he gets some new stock up soon. Nothing I'm particularly interested in on his site anymore.

The Vintage Stock near (an hour + away) me has decent enough prices for buying (especially if you go during one of their "buy 2 get 1 free" sales), but I've only traded in stuff that I didn't expect to get much on.

I prefer to use my local shop most of the time (for traveling reasons), but they don't carry anything Sega, and the Vintage Stock tends to end up with a better selection because they're in the city (more people, more trade-ins, more variety). I just make trips up to VS when they're having their sales and I have the time/money.

Xbox 360 - Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
-Originally had chosen Lost Planet: Colonies but the gamestop employee tossed the box I took to the register aside and gave me a copy of the standard edition.  Probably worked out for the best since Colonies is made more for multiplayer (which I really don't care about) and had the ugly platinum hits grey box and cover art.  Either way it was only $2 CIB and with Colonies being $3 I saved myself a dollar lol.

Wii - Phantom Brave
-CIB copy with a cd with various game art.  Although I remember the cover art being drastically different I couldn't see myself paying 50 bucks for it when it was released.  Now that it's down to just 10 I decided to pick up a copy considering that it's a NIS title and a bit hard to come by already.

-edit-
Never mind...just found out Phantom Brave originally came with a slip cover :'(

I should just put the digital copy movies I get since they are "pickups".

Vudu (owned) movie count via Ultraviolet: 713

*Newest:
Dark Shadows (HDX)
Rock Of Ages: Extended Edition (HDX)
Werewolf: Beast Upon Us: Unrated (HDX)
Prometheus (HDX)
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns: Part 1 (HDX)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*What is Vudu?
--Vudu is a movie rental/owning service owned by Walmart.  Ultraviolet is a digital locker that stores the rights of the movies you "physically" own/owned (if you sold them after transfer lol).

*Is Vudu...free?
--Yes and no.  There is no monthly costs, but it does obviously cost to put movies on there to own or to rent.

*So, Vudu is like Netflix without the monthly fee?
--Exactly.  And if you personally buy new movies that have digital copies, you can add those movies to your Vudu/Ultraviolet locker for free.

Ya I've read all about this Vudu a long time ago... It's pretty much a worthless scam to make you pay more money to WalMart for a movie you already own. Alls they do is stamp your movie and type it into you account really quick that you want it and then BOOM they just stole your money. Especially if you have Netflix already, since thier is tens and thousands of movies and shows to watch on there.
Most movies now a days have a digital download with the movie you buy anyway. Or you could rip the movie to hard drive via a program and store it all on a computer with a massive hardrive and start a home network and watch your movies anywhere in the house. Sure it takes up hard drive space I know.
If its just to difficult to switch the DVD/bluray disc out and put in another, or you don't want to lug around a bunch of movies, I guess I may understand.

I'm really not saying this to be an ass, so I'm sorry if I am. I'm also to saying anyone is dumb (except maybe WalMart...) I just don't like seeing people get scammed.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

No! Don't think you're being an ass, it's fine to not be an innovator :P

With over 400 of my movies being *free* as in I didn't buy them at all ($0.00 spent), I don't think it is a scam at all.

If one was to personally buy a movie and put it onto Vudu, yes, that would be stupid.  Why would you buy a movie for $10, just to spend $2 more and put it in a digital cloud?  However, I have my alternative methods =P

Also, good luck watching anything new on Netflix as I hear (I hate rental services, which is why I chose to do Vudu) that you won't be able to watch it for MONTHS.

I can share my account up to 30 people (12 people being able to watch movies on *devices* at one time [infinite amount of people if they watch it just off the computer]), so while I have spent money on ~300 movies to put onto vudu (~$600), that is only 6 years of Netflix that I need to hold out on, or 3 years Netflix (Streaming + Disc).  Also, the people that I am sharing with (from the ultraviolet cloud) get the movies for free.  I don't hear my other members complaining about any "scams"  ;)

~About the ripping comment:
Even if it is legal to rip something that you personally own with the intentions of "preserving the original" (cough cough ROMS cough cough), there still lies in the fact that you need to buy a massive HDD.  last I knew 3TB HDD was around $150 (I could be wrong).  Not only do you:
1) Have to keep the original movie incase you lose your HDD via technical problems
2) Take time to rip it
3) Buy more HDD's when capacity is almost full,
but you also have to keep in mind that you are only sharing with you.  If you want to travel to a friends house, that HDD must be your best buddy.

I am basing this off of Captain America HDX being 8GB in size (but that is a reasonable Bluray size).  Atmost you can fit 384 Bluray rips (just saying 8GB each [I have seen 1080p rips being over 20GB before]) on a 3TB HDD.  That being said, if that 3TB HDD was $150, I could easily add 75 movies to Vudu and never worry about any of the hassles above.  If Vudu ever goes down, my movies are still in my Ultraviolet locker.  If Ultraviolet (which is owned by Warner) goes down, then yes I am screwed.  However, for the time being, I am loving vudu, and so (again) are the people I am sharing it with  :)

This is completely better than my friends $500 *illegal download* fine!

touché SHN

I did not know that, I only went off of what I read, and what other people from where I live are. It's nice to know we partially agree on the buying and then buying again.

I'm also glad that you didn't take me as a dick. I learned something new in the process also.  :D

Here a few things I've gotten from 2 different CHKD thrift stores, near where I live, over the past few days.

Pictured, from left to right:: The Athenian Murders w/ dust jacket (Price: 0.98¢), Van Helsing movie w/ shiny DVD jacket (Original Price: 0.98¢; Price after senior citizen discount yesterday, when my grandma bought it for me: 0.80¢), and Road & Track Presents: The Need For Speed [Greatest Hits] ($1.58, disc will need to be resurfaced, because it isn't working, but I'm not tossing it.)

That would be true if it were Altair's gauntlet, instead this is Ezio's =) Leave it to DaVinci to make the gauntlet make sense lol
