35 reasons that the Wii isn't just for little kids, bratty teens or the elderly

Retro Deckades:
I only own a Wii (read: not 360 or PS3), and it has fulfilled all of my gaming needs this generation. It's unfortunate that people really need to be convinced that it is "for grown-ups" by referencing M rated games. If people are unable to enjoy a good game (or movie, book, etc. for that matter) just because it isn't strictly geared towards adults, then they're going to miss out on some remarkable experiences. I own around 50 Wii games, and of those, only a handful are M rated, yet I've thoroughly enjoyed each one that I have played, regardless of then ESRB rating.

so with this same logic, I can find every E rated game and say that "PS3 is not only for hardcore gamers".  You only listed rated M games.  Every system has them, point is?

i wasn't being negative i was just saying that i prefer a console loaded with  good E rated games than bad M rated games, and a lot of those games you put there are really bad not all off course.

I'm kinda surprised by this thread.  I know that there's been some back-and-forth over the years, with the Wii being labeled as something for litte kids, but I didn't that that was still an issue!

By this point, I think most of us either have a Wii or have had one, at some point, and most of us are adults, too.  I'm almost 30, and I *love* the little black Wii we have sitting next to our TV!  I only have two games for it, currently - No More Heroes and Sonic Colors - and they're two of my favorite games of this generation.  NMH I like for it's "throwback" feel, as it never takes itself too seriously, and has a lot of nods to older games.  The blood n' guts doesn't flip my switch too much - they could have released the Japanese version over here, with black "dust" instead of blood, and I'd like it all the same!  Sonic Colors, in my opinion, is just a great game, and really captures the classic Sonic feel.  The fact that it's E rated doesn't mean it's just for kids, and in my book, the rating isn't a strike against it whatsoever.

If you wanna get technical, no every system does not have M-rated games or ratings for that matter. Because the ESRB; which produces rating on games wasn't created until 1994 (near the end of the 4th generation of consoles, and a year after the 5th generation of consoles). So, video games from 1993 (start of the 5th generation of consoles)-1972 (the dawn of video games), never had ratings, much less M-ratings. This is where your statement isn't entirely true. Have a nice day. ;D
