those aren't on my list of "keeps" if i come across them, so if i do, chances are I will throw them up here before going down the line to eBay or PnT (ones like that going to PnT are very unlikely)

On a side note after mentioning PnT.....Someone actually sold their copy of Earthbound to my local one. It was in the store for less than 3 hours and sold for $160

Well damn, wonder if this will affect any of our orders

"::Urgent Update::
Due to not having internet access to check store inventory and orders at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo I attended as a vendor over last weekend and the vast amount of sales I made that completely took me by surprise I am now both low in inventory in general and also already not able to fill some of the orders that have came in during and after the expo.

I want to apologize to those that will be affected and I will let you know as soon as I can and hopefully fix any problems with replacements or refunds.  Also I am shutting down orders in the store until I can catch up and make my inventory on site match what I have in store.  I will take this notice down when I am all caught up which hopefully will only take me today and possibly tomorrow at the latest.

I honestly was only expecting to sell a small amount at the expo and had no idea my items and store/booth would be as wildly popular as it was there.  If/when I attend future expos/conventions/etc... I will make sure something like this doesn't happen again or at least plan better for it.  Once again I am sorry for any inconvenience for those who have put orders in or who are wanting to put in orders now.  If there are items you really want bad you can email me and I can update you on quantity and condition of the items.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support of me.  I don't feel like I deserve it, but thank you all the same and i'm trying to get better.

Trevor the bald guy"

I just learned of this. I imagine the majority of my order will be affected, which totally sucks.

Unfortunately, It seems like he dropped the ball pretty badly. Any time an item leaves a store (even if it be to try it out at home or attempt to sell it elsewhere), there ALWAYS needs to be a record of that.

Yeah, while I would like to think most my order shouldn't be affected it probably will. I purchased some really random things from him, mainly because it was such a fair price.

Well i got fucked over he sold sculptors sooo pissed right now.

Still looking for sculptors cut any help appreciated.

Trevor has made things okay and has agreed that the next time he gets sculptors cut it will be mine.

Yeah I will keep your email.  Also I initiated the refund for $96 so you should get that soon.  I also saw your posting in the forum of cover project.  I deserve every bit of hate on there.  I'm trying to get an account so I can post there and explain things and say how sorry I am for dropping the ball because it seems like you weren't the only person that came from there.

If you would be so kind as to post a note from me there in that thread that would be awesome of you.  If not then I understand and maybe i'll still be able to get an account and post myself, but I want to get the word out quickly.  I am very protective of my reputation and this is already damaging and embarrassing for me so I just want people to know the whole story.

"I see that a few of you from this site ordered from me and have incomplete orders.  I can't say sorry enough and I am so embarrassed it's not even funny.  I attended the portland retro gaming expo (http://www.retrogamingexpo.com/) as a vendor for the first time and I screwed up very badly.  I have never been to a convention or trade show of any kind so I didn't know that so many people went to them and also I had no idea my specific booth would be so popular that I couldn't keep track of my inventory.  I did try to turn off ordering in my store on thursday before the expo to stop this from happening, but i'm still new to my volusion software and apparently didn't do it right.  So therefore I got a ton of orders from the exposure there and sold almost 1/3 to maybe 1/2 my store it seems at the expo itself without knowing I was apparently selling items already spoken and paid for.  There was no internet access there so I was unable to login and see what orders came in and I was manning the booth by myself so it was hard enough to just deal with all the people.  I have so many things I want to do differently next time it's not even funny.

I do admit full guilt for everything and as someone mentioned I agree I should track every movement of items and I try to do that on a daily basis.  This is not normal for me to not be able to fill orders and I feel horrible about it.  I will contact others that are affected and offer refunds, exchanges, and store credit.  Everyone will receive $5 for the inconvenience of having to change their order if necessary and of course I will detail what is missing if anything and refund accordingly and quickly.  I do hope to earn people's trust again because it's so easy to lose it in this business and I live to make my customers happy."

Thanks,

Trevor

  • It's dangerous to go alone...
Yikes, that's no fun! I feel bad for him. I came from this thread too and ordered Yoshi's Island and F-Zero. Those are pretty common so I'm hoping he had more stock, but I'll totally understand if he's sold out. No biggy.
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)
