I have every right to delete a thread that I MADE, if I feel that it's getting out of control, and it was.

The mods can take care of that for you if you ask. What if people are still looking for the nice info that was in the thread?
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

Aww, come on, Arseen! Whachu have to go and do that for? I'm OCD as hell about my threads, and when they serve their purpose, like General Discussion threads or I get all my covers made in my Cover Request threads, I delete them. That's just how I am, I never like anything of mine; phone inbox/sent, facebook page, yahoo, this site, etc., junked up with unnecessary stuff. :(

You can request deletion.

If we think the topic is dead and deletion does no harm we delete it.

These both topics were still very much active and had not served their purpose, thus deleting them was not OK.

I, like many others, like going thru old topics for important things.

You're doing irreparable harm to the community here if you delete everything after you post it. So much good information is held in threads that are now 5 years old. At least give people a heads-up so they can copy the relevant information into a new thread.

Seems like every one of you in this thread is out to get me and make my time on this site, very miserable. It's like freaking grade school all over again. :(

This just isn't the case. We're a community here and we want your contributions to be part of the whole picture. If you delete your threads, how can we see your contribution?

You're taking this the wrong way...

Yes.

We are not out to get you, nor do we bully you.

Topics tend to include off shoot from the topic, and many times those off shoots contain important or atleast interesting stuff. that we want to save for the future.
You can't even imagine how many times I've found very much needed stuff from topics that don't originally relate to the topic's original message.

And like you once said yourself your bit too trigger happy for your own safety, so we just turned the safety on on your gun. ;)

Resident Evil 2 (Greatest Hits) was like that I think.

I was also overlooking another thread, the Peripherals thread, and I think that was deleted as well?  Do you still have that N64 black mem card cover?  Never downloaded it =O

I'll shoot you a pm with the link when I get home :)

That's beyond fucking annoying and you do it All. The. Time.

I feel like that's something a 5 year old would do when they're not getting their way.

Ace - this is the only forum I can think of off the top of my head where regular users had the ability to delete entire threads (including their own).

This decision has nothing to do with *you*, personally, but your actions have shown us why allowing this is a bad idea (heck, in some of our cases, we didn't even realize it was set up that way in the first place), so the decision was made to disable that ability.  I cannot help you decide to not take the decision personally, all I can say is that the decision was not personal and hope you believe me.

With that said, the "announcement" of this decision could had been handled in such a way that it wasn't seem as taunting you - and for that, I apologize.

I hope you can understand why this decision was made and, even if you don't agree with it, at least understand that it wasn't anything against you, personally.  If you disagree with it strongly enough, I would suggest getting in contact with Snowcone and making your case - however, be aware, I'm pretty sure most of us on the site are in agreement that general users should not have the ability to delete entire threads.

Yeah, I know you and a few other people I get along with on here aren't out to get me, but people like sheep2001 and wiggy, give a new meaning to the word irritating, they're constantly bashing me about the stuff I do, and don't make things any better by saying what they say to me in these threads. At least you were calm and sincere about it; unlike sheep2001 and wiggy.

I have a question, I know I will probably sound retarded for this (and like a noob), but how do you close a thread, I haven't seen a setting for it. Because I made a pretty worthless thread, so I was wondering how to delete it, thanks!

That ability just got turned off. You'll have to ask a mod.
