Hardcover books ( mostly fantasy - Tolkien, Jordan , Salvator etc )
Anime/manga ( and other related items )
Graphic novels ( stopped buying comics about 9 years ago )
Transformers ( generation 1/encore , masterpiece, Generations lines )

Aside from that. Things I collect:
Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, GameBoy, GBColor, GBA.
Things I don't collect:
any post-PS2 Sony system (I haven't encountered an exclusive worth buying for plus I never liked the PSP)
DS, 3DS (Never got into one and I prefer classic handhelds)
NES (Don't have one. simple as that)
Anything pre-NES (same as above, plus lack of quality games... crash of '83 proves this.)
Non-gaming items I collect:
LPs. Nothing can beat the awesomeness of listening to Queen or Aerosmith on vinyl.

If I see an atari for $5 with 100 games, sure, I'll buy it.
If I see a TG16 with 1 controller for $150, hell no.
To say that you will NEVER collect something makes me laugh because what happens when you see that TG-16 for $1.99 at a yard sale? You still sticking to your "oh, but I don't collect that :'("

Nah, the person who doesnt collect it would be like "hrm 2$? why not, bet I can flip it for wayyyy more and buy more of the games I do collect" lol

When I think "collect", I think "buying". Even if it is for a short little while, you did "collect" it.
