| What Do/Don't you collect and why? |

Just curious, should be an interesting topic Personally - Collect: All Nintendo consoles and handhelds (NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy/Color, GBA, DS, 3Ds) Most sega consoles (Genesis, CD,32x, Saturn, Dreamcast) All sony systems (PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, Vita) Microsoft Systems (xbox, 360) Also a sucker for reproduction carts for these systems DONT Collect Atari - My first system, but to me true console gaming didnt happen till NES, aside the graphics I just find the games completely archaic and down right suck. Ugly everything about this system Intellivision/Colecovision/Vetrex/Odyssey/every other 70's and early 80's console - didnt own them, similar dislikes as an atari CDI - Lol self explanitory, also crazy expensive Jaguar - Kind of hit or miss on this one, can't talk myself into it Sega Master System - never owned one, I find boxes horrible looking ( collector side of me) and simply due to inexperience with the console Virtua Boy - I got one of these for christmas and it made me motion sick playing it when I was a kid, hated it since lol Imports - Just not my thing Considering Collecting - TG16 - only my friends had them back in the day, so don't know much about them other than the games are a tad pricey Game Gear - been putting it off because I have one, with like 20 games, I just have to find it Any suggestions? |

I don't really "collect" anything, in terms of having it just for its own sake. That said, I do have an autograph book, and a little over 100 films on the Blu-Ray format. As far as gaming systems go, I have a Super NES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii, all refurbished. Most of my games are for the Super NES and NES; just looking for a refurbished original at this point. |

Same here. If i own anything to to play not to collect. So I will pick up anything that seems fun, and get the system for it later. |

Do Collect Just about any RPG (strategic, turn based, action) for almost any system. Why: I prefer a fun story and the ability to level above your enemy to pound them to the ground with ease and they seem to keep/gain value We have a lot of movies (DVD+Blu-Ray) but i don't see them as a collection Why: My wife and I really enjoy movies LOTS of dust Why: I don't dust often DOES NOT COLLECT most Shooters, Racing, Sports, Educational, Sim Why: See WHY for DO collect RPG....and reverse it ATARI, Coleco vision...anything BEFORE NES. Why: Being born in 1983, having a low income household, and 2 YOUNGER siblings made game systems scarce in the home for a while.We had an SNES, TG-16 and Sega Genesis all at different times mostly due to my parents buying beyond their means. As time went on we got a Saturn, PS1, N64 and then from there I was on my own. Virtual Boy Why: Never interested me Jaguar Why: See above answer Game Gear Why: I dont think there are any games I would even play for it. Unemployment Why: I have a job at a warehouse that distributes puzzles that come from Germany (Mostly) Many Many MANY of my games I have never played. According to my Backloggery I have about 900 games with only around 10% beaten and about 700+ un-played I see it as a real fun, good looking investment....and I like to spend my money WAY more than save it. |
