| 90's Nickelodeon Game Shows |

Here's a pretty random discussion topic. I'm not sure how many of you are roughly my age (25), but lately I've been getting nostalgic about those old Nickelodeon game shows from back in the 90's. It might be because I briefly met Dee Bradley Baker at Star Wars CVI. He's currently the voice of Captain Rex and all the Clone Troopers on The Clone Wars, but he told me his first job was voicing Olmec on Legends of the Hidden Temple. I found a youtube user named ChargerTheWolf who has uploaded almost every episode of most of them, and I've been watching through Legends of the Hidden Temple (which might have been my favorite back in the day). I remember thinking that show would make a great game. I'm admittedly not watching every entire episode - just some of the challenges, seeing what prizes they offered back then, and of course watching the temple runs at the end. I just started season 2 and I've found it very interesting to see the progression of the show from a very basic show with rehashes of the same challenges, to now much more elaborate and cool challenges. I especially like the temple changes and the overall better lighting, fog machines, and better temple rooms. It's also funny what Genesis/SNES games they had as prizes back then. And lots of trips to Space Camp... I know I would have loved to have been on any of those shows back then, but our family couldn't afford a trip to Florida. I certainly think I would have stood a better chance than most contestants on Nick Arcade at least. ::) Anyone have a favorite show from back then? Teams you rooted for? Know anyone that got on them? |

Lol, I remember watching all of those shows with Nick Arcade being my favorite. And yeah...watching the show I always felt I could do loads better then the contestants on the show. Actually I was so cocky that I felt like I could beat anyone on any of the shows haha but that was probably just cause I was jealous that I was never on them :( |

Wow that takes me back... I really liked a lot of those shows also. Crazy, I nearly forgot about them. I remember a show called What Would You Do also. |
