--- Quote from: Beastman1975 on September 12, 2012, 05:44:11 AM ---just wait for the Wii U shortages this christmas lol nintendo hasnt even announced the date/price yet so people are waiting like rabid dogs to order just to sell for 4 times the price on ebay --- End quote --- Quoted for truth. I would be surprised if we didn't have the same Wii situation all over again. |

But that's EVERY modern console. Gosh, I remember the PS2 launch. You couldn't find those things anywhere for the longest time. Same with the N64. I recall them having 200K at launch, and they sold out in one day. I recall it being nearly a month before more rolled out :( |

--- Quote from: madrocsz on September 12, 2012, 12:42:59 AM ---TBH, there has been a few cases of a preorder going live and it selling out in 24 hours, now given people need to be on the ball but I would at LEAST say a 72 hour window should suffice. --- End quote --- Well, yeah you do have a point...I guess certain areas and places will have less capability to take in larger amounts of preorders :\ And now that you mention it...I do remember wanting to buy COD: MW3 Hardened edition but slacked off thinking I could just pick it up at the store. A couple weeks before release I noticed that all pre-orders were no longer available. I did start to get worried for a bit and with all previous COD releases I went to the midnight release. Since I managed to be first in line I got to buy 1 of the 2 non preorder copies the store had available. But TBH if I wasn't able to get the version that I wanted I still wouldn't pay the ridiculous prices that some people ask for. I'd be tempted and if the price was "reasonable" I might |

Pricing and release date on the Wii U was just released and I already got an email from gamestop telling me to pre-order it! Lol, as much as I'd love the new system I think I'll wait for pricing to come down a tad and wait till all the launch hype dies down. My current systems offer me plenty and no need to create a much larger backlog of games as it is. Not to mention that it's still pretty pricey! $300 for base model $350 for "deluxe" model You'd think that there'd be a bigger price gap then just 50 bucks :\ |
