I'm curious as to how you guys would choose to store PlayStation games; in DVD/PS2 cases, or in the original jewels? I'm mainly asking just because I'm not sure what to do with mine as they're all CIB except for two so I was hoping for input/general opinions.
Also, for those who convert them to DVD cases, would you keep the greenlabel/blacklabels true to what you have or just have them all match?

Looking forward to how people tackle this.

I personally only had a few PS1 games (Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VIII + IX).  I found this site after seeing the 25th anniversary Final Fantasy packaging which in and of itself encouraged me to complete my PS1 Final Fantasy collection and house them in DVD cases.  I like the look of the PS2 style covers and they match very well.  I do not use a greatest hits cover even when the game I have is that version (as it is for Final Fantasy VII).  I am planning on acquiring more PS1 games in the future and will continue to house them in DVD cases.

Pros:
* Looks great on my game shelf, don't have different sized jewel cases and such.  Size matches all other disc games (and close to UGCs).
* Don't have to worry about condition (or even existence) of jewel cases when buying used games.
* Larger manuals (Final Fantasy VII for example) won't fit.

Cons:
* Excellent condition jewel cases/art/booklets go to waste (mine are in storage)
* Some people like to have the original format
* Have to possibly spend extra time/money on cases & covers if you already have the jewel cases.

Ridged Longbox *(This is the only longbox I've encountered. My "The Need For Speed" game came in this kind of longbox.)*

That's actually a carboard/fakie as well.

Here's an actual hard case.

Some games came in a couple of different variations.  IIRC, MK3 and Resident Evil came in both ridged and jewel cases :/

I think those big PlayStation cases are cool. I usually put those next to my Sega CD or Saturn Games and then put the smaller PSone jewel cases next to them. I think they are neat to have, but they do make presentable storage a little tough.

Beastman1975:

i gernerally keep ps1 games in the same type pf jewel cases they came in , like other said its cheaper but most importanly  it takes up less space. ive got 5 of them in those original long boxes, im hopeing someone makes retailish cd jewel cases covers for  ( tekken , air combat , Kings field, battle arena toshinden, rayman )
