That is all. --- End quote --- I looked them up. Wasn't really that impressed. Music was ok on some songs, vocals sucked. No offense to what you like, I've just heard way better covers. --- End quote --- None of the songs of theirs that I like have vocals, and, don't worry, it's not like they are my favorite band or anything. |

Good, dont want to make anyone upset because our tastes don't match very well. Ya, if I ever get a good camera I'll try to record a good video of some of my music. I got some of my bands music up, but I mean just covers and stuff. |

Nice. Just to show I'm no hack, here's some in studio footage from my former band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXOSLyzRJmo |

Sounds like some black metal to me ha ha. This is some of our early songs, more of a hardcore vibe. http://www.youtube.com/reincarnatethereason (Edit) Ok so Turrican is going to be a pain in the butt. Its seriously out of tune. all the notes are like non existant in between fret notes!!! This will turn out interesting. |

Death metal = low pitch. Black metal = high pitch. Leaving myself out of the equation, here are a few "textbook" definitions: Death metal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNhN6lT-y5U Black metal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGikqZUemV4 and, while I'm at it: Hardcore: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NctzNLw_5E&feature=related Crust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9axVj_mhX1c&feature=related & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttxfhaw8t50 (<-- This one is mandatory) Grindcore: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_CG6TH4zWk&feature=related Thrash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9ORDncKKkI (a newer song, but one of the original bands) Everything else gets to be a mix of those things these days - hell, even grind was a mix of hardcore, death metal, and crust. The only thing that would in any way tie your music to hardcore (at least, in my 30+ year schooled opinion) are the vocals, which are great. The rest of it owes more to thrash, and that isn't a bad thing. It's well put together, but I could do without the drum machine. Friendly piece of industry advice (to qualify all my statements about that, let me show you this - I've paid my dues) - unless you play live with a drum machine, I'd put the words "preproduction demo" in the video title - it'll bring you more cred, especially when you are shopping for label, studio, or producer. It's one of those tiny perceptive tweaks that goes a long, long way. Sorry to have gone off on a tirade about genres, but, it's just a pet peeve of mine when things get mislabeled. Besides, a metal band with a good hardcore singer is hard to come by these days - wear it with honor. You guys are on the path. |
