"Metroid Prime Trilogy" Slipcover, Instructions, or Art Book?

I know certain Wii systems have trouble reading the Dual Layer games.

My theory is this is the reason why production for the game was abruptly stopped.  Nintendo never said why.  As far as I can tell it was never meant to be a limited edition type thing.

I remember reading that this game and Smash Bros. couldn't be read by older Wiis.  Pretty sure Smash Bros. was re-released on a single-layer disk.

You would probably have a better chance finding a complete copy sometime down the road than find someone with a complete copy willing to sell the slip cover portion.

I'd say enjoy playing it and keep your eyes out for a cheap complete copy.

I realize they are expensive but once the Wii U comes out and people start selling their Wii stuff for dirt cheap you should be able to find one.

But good luck on the hunt :)  I loved the first 2 prime games and have yet to play the 3rd.

The 3rd is really the best IMO.  Totally worth it!

My launch Wii has never had an issue with dual layer, it has had issues with MPT >:(

The reason that I know it's not a DL issue is that my backup plays just fine.  If the Wii were going to have a hard time reading anything, then a DL DVD-R would be it.

Based on what I've experienced, I can't help but think you may be right on this one.

I have the 3rd sitting on my shelf...bought it some 3-4 years ago but never been in the mood to play it :( I will soon though.

Running DL DVD-R's?  USB Loading is where it's at ;)  although I won't lie...my Wii is hard and soft modded but I will rarely play a game by running it off a disc anymore.

Mine is also hard and soft modded ;)

I hard modded way before soft modding, so I had a lot of backups.
