Honestly, I doubt that.  The production costs in the case is more than Nintendo is willing to put up for a long time.  It's possible that maybe they originally intended to re-release it as a standard Wii release, but there's no way the steelbook case and extra materials were anything but limited.

Also, I'd be curious if that Smash Bros. single-layer disc is true or not.  They'd have to cut things out or overly compress the movies/audio in order to do so, so it'd be a really gimped version if they did...

I'm thinking the fact that there would have very little development costs involved would have helped offset the few bucks extra for the steelbook.

I find file sizes for games aren't always representative of how large they are.  Mario galaxy is about three times the file size of galaxy 2 for example.

I tossed the slipcover to my copy ages ago. It's really tacky, and makes it more cumbersome to open up the game for when I want to play one of the Prime games.

Truly a great investment, though. I say if you have a GCN copy of Prime 1 and a copy of the Trilogy, you're set.

I placed this on ebay, as I just want to get rid of it and I wasn't offered anything.

I don't know the price on it, so $1.00 + shipping as of right now seems fair enough to me
