I think the background music is from Ocarina of Time:

Hahaha, nope, not from Zelda, but the Midi Soundfont used probably is what reminds you of the general sound of the music from Ocarina of Time - the ending in particular has a very similar vibe.

All that being said, It's definitely not Koji Kondo.  :D
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

Nope - it's just a really common motiff - you've probably heard that sequence of notes in a LOT of music. The general sound seems like it's from an N64 synthesizer, but it's just a similar Midi soundfont, and the music itself is definitely not from Ocarina of time.

Trust me, I'm a musician by trade (studied performance in college), and I've spend a lot of hours listening to Zelda music by itself.  ;D

AHHhhh I see what you're picking out now....The melody there is very similar to Zelda's lullaby, but not quite the same. You're not tone deaf.  ;)

Zelda's lullaby: In relative key is "Mi Sol Re"  (notes are B D A)

Conan Song: In relative key is "Ti Do La" (note are B C A)

They even start on the same note, and the instruments sound the same, but the melodies are just a bit different - and where those notes lay within their respective keys and applications is very different. I see what you're saying now, but nope, not exactly from Zelda, but pretty similar. Nice ear!

OK, so only half tone deaf.

But no, not Zelda's Lullaby, it's some longer background music that I'm thinking, just can't pin point what. something watery keeps popping to my head., nope some cutscene.

might be from lttp also.

This is gonna bug me all day, so I'm gonna go through my collection of Zelda music later today and see if I can find it for you. Might not be from Ocarina, but to my ear it sounds similar to some incidental music from Twilight Princess...we'll see though.  ;)

Damn it! Look what you're making me do! ;D

I'd love to help, but the video won't play for me. Any youtube uploads out there?

I know, there was two pieces of music playing my head that I could not pin point for years.

Other turned out to be Baker street, another I stil have not fully solved, but it's another English version version of Soleado/When a baby is born/Tränen lügen nicht/Lähdit taakse pilvien

Just checked Ocarina, Major's Mask, and Twilight Princess and it's a not in any of those three unless I somehow missed it.

More on this tomorrow. I owe you a beer or something if I actually find it somewhere, but I really don't think it's anywhere in the Zelda music canon.  ;)

The best I found was the same sequence of the first three notes very fast in the Majora's Mask Boss Battle track, but definitely not what we're looking for....

Honestly guys, what I think is being heard isn't so much the sequence of notes so much as it is the timbre of synth and the chord choice of the choir. Zelda (majora's mask especially) is NOTORIOUS for having music that uses a choir singing a maj7 chord or some incarnation of those notes stacked against the melody. And That is exactly what we're hearing in this video. No zelda tune in particular comes to mind because the music in the Conan vid is a bit under-orchestrated. That's my 2 cents!

Big +1.

And this is what I mentioned above several times, but I'm just trying to be thorough. Besides, why pass up an opportunity to listen to some Zelda music in depth?  ;)
