I'm grabbing some boxes this week, if all goes to plan.  As of now, my primary focus is NES, but all requests are welcome - this is for you guys.

I know that Rolling Thunder needs a good scan, and I have also seen several Solar Jetman requests, so, I'm starting there.

I'm also stalking a pretty sweet Master Chu & the Drunkard Hu box.

If there are any NES box scans that are in need, at any time, this is the thread to post in, because I'm seeking the boxes as part of my contribution to the community.  Any time I can give back in this way, I will.

So, this is really about you guys telling me what boxes would mean the most to you.  I'll update with scans as I get them, and update the OP with new requests, too.

This is also the thread where you can post requests from my friend's CIB collection - LIST COMING SOON.

Posters: If you are a CIB collector, please say so in your request!

Mario Is Missing on the NES or SNES is missing scans, I made one from parts I could find on Google but it is not the best. The Mario Early Years SNES games are in need of covers too.

Donkey Kong Country SNES could also use better scans, but I might be able to get that from someone.

Edt: Whoa! I did not see how pricy MTM is on the NES. The only boxed copy is $130 on eBay. Maybe put that one off for now. The SNES one is pretty cheep though.

Would any other kind of boxart/cover requests, like newer system boxarts, be welcome in the thread, or only NES, and other older system boxarts? Just wondering.

Edited OP to allude to the fact that I'll take all requests.  :)

Noted, and, yeah, I'm starting small.  ;)  Still, I'll keep on the lookout for anything we're really in need of.

Ooh sweet...can't wait to get a Solar Jetman cover!  Lumberjack was going to do one but I don't believe he's gotten around to it yet.

There are many covers I personally need (I only collect NES), but of those there are a handful that are fairly common/cheap games that I'm honestly surprised we don't have covers for yet.  I don't imagine they'd run you a lot of money, certainly nothing like a Mario's Time Machine would.  Of these I'll list my top 10.  If you manage to procure any of these boxes I'd be more than happy to put together covers for them if you need any help.

Adventures of Tom Sawyer  (If we get these two we'll have all the games
Adventures of Dino Riki         that start with the word 'Adventure' covered ;D )
Shadowgate - Can't believe we don't have the US version of this cover, since I thought it was a very popular title, would love to have a Shadowgate cover
Athena
Alpha Mission
Captain America and the Avengers
Captain Planet and the Planeteers
Defender II
Monster Party
Dragon Power

I just recently got scans for Monster Party so Ill try and get that together sometime. I need a cover for Captain America and Dino Riki myself. Akumu had said that he had a box for Dino Riki that he was going to get right on and put together when I asked but I guess he never got around to it. :(

Dammit Arseen, what other secrets are you keeping from me?! ;D  Cheers!

Sweet!  Can't wait!  Didn't you say Akumu also had Section Z?  I'd love to have that one as well (NTSC...I know the PAL one is floating around).

I second this!

And thanks for the offer and heads up, BGC! I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for everyone to come up with a few suggestions. I'm wondering if we shouldn't prioritize them somehow? I'm sure many of us would love to see a retail Mighty Final Fight, but perhaps it would be smarter (and more financially viable) to request boxes for some of the more common games that are missing fiirst?

That said, should you ever happen to stumble across a Mighty Final Fight box on the cheap, feel free to grab it!

I definitely agree, and that's pretty much why I made my list they way it is.  Currently I have 61 games that don't have covers or covers in development but I figured I'd hold off on mentioning things like Bonk's Adventure, Pro Sport Hockey, and Gun-Nac until some of the cheapos were out of the way.

Also, thanks a ton for any help you can give us on this project, BGC.  My goal is to have my entire wall decorated with UGC'd NES games! :D

Shadowgate

I just typed Shadowgate in to the forum search field and that was 4th or 5th result. ;)
But I think there is English PAL version somewhere too.

And no problem.

Ah, nice work, WolfAlmighty. I had actually missed this post while I was browsing earlier on my phone. I suppose another suggestion, based on your list, could be starting with the common titles that are missing covers and running through them alphabetically. On the plus side, it would be easier to keep track of, but the downside would be that some of the covers people really desire may take some time to get to.

I'm not sure what BGC would prefer, either, as I am really not sure if there is more sales potential going with a common game which many people own, or a less-common one that many collector's might want a case for.

Anywho, I'll throw out five common titles that I wouldn't mind seeing covers for, and one uncommon one.

Athena (Seconding WolfAlmighty's request!)
Casino Kid
Cybernoid
Stinger
Trog!

...and as already mentioned, Mighty Final Fight.

I'll be updating the OP as requests come in, but, I need to get some coffee in me right now. :)

For the record, I've made a cover for both Rolling Thunder and Solar Jetman, but, they are both in the "usable" category - part of why I want to get my hand on those first. OCD, and all that.  If anyone wants to use them as placeholders until I get the boxes, just let me know.

As for my intentions, it has nothing to do with sales for my site at all, other than what someone might request.  This is about giving back to you guys, and also the fact that you folks are in the know as to what people here want the most.

It'll be slow going, as I genuinely don't have a lot of money to throw around, but, if we work together, hopefully we can get a great system going. :)

I can't thank you enough for the positive reception to this idea.  It means a lot to me.

Alphabetically would be one way, but it's entirely up to BGC how he wants to go about it.  As I pick up new games I try to get CIB of the ones we don't have covers for (even though I'll just have to re-sell all the boxes later anyway :P ) so I can make covers for them.  So for me, it's just a matter of casing the ones that I have uncased, and going on from there.

Also, Lumberjack actually did a Casino Kid cover, though I'm not sure why he never uploaded it:
