I actually this got on craigslist at the end of August, pissed off ex-girlfriend selling her boyfriend's stuff online. 50$ was an absolute steal . Frostmourne from WoW, barely played the game but know how expensive thing this goes for . Almost 4 feet long and weighs a ton. Hurricane pwned my power or would have posted sooner

Checked craigslist today, found this, turned out it was a pawn shop listing, ad said 60$ but when I got there they charged me ONLY 20$ for all that you see games + system (hookups too just not pictured), score! Best part was finding guardian heroes in the sega rally case lol. I guess they thought the sega cd games went with it, not complaining  ;)

Dang man nice pickups.  I've checked like all the pawn shops near me and none of them have any retro games or systems.  It's kind of depressing.  Here's what I picked up today (from a craigslist ad):

Got all that for $35.  It wasn't a steal but it seemed like a pretty good deal to me.  Paid $5 each for the GC games, $10 for Mario Kart Wii, and $5 for the Nunchuk (I needed a 2nd one).

Gonna print a new non-player's choice cover for mario golf.  Also why is the Superstar Baseball spine so ugly?  The others wrap around the art from the front and it looks pretty nice, and that one just has a plain green spine with unimaginative red text.  I don't get it at all.

Guardian Heroes alone is worth about 5X what you paid...If you enjoy Guardian Heroes, you might be interested in 3DS game coming out in Oct called Code of Princess. Looks similar

Err... $10 for Mario Kart Wii can safely be considered a "steal". Same deal with $25 for the gamecube Mario games.

Aladdin. Just... Aladdin.
Aladdin 3. You can skip 2, it was usual straight to video junk quality (more a pilot for the TV series than anything), but 3 is a real deal.
Lion King 1 1/2. (or, as it is less confusingly named outside of the US - Lion King 3), at least if you like Timon and Pumba. It's sort of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" for The Lion King. Follows those two through the plot of the first movie in a consistently tongue-in-cheek manner. Still haven't watched Lion King 2, so can't say one way or the other there.
Rescuers Down Under. Watched this many times as a kid before I was even aware of the first one. Kinda samey, but I prefer it (might be nostalgia goggles)
Sleeping Beauty. Even if you're not into the princess stuff, this movie's just freaking beautiful.
Great Mouse Detective.

And I still haven't gotten around to seeing it, but my friends swear by Emperor's New Groove.

Yeah, I really want to see Aladdin again. It's definitely going to be part of my next Amazon batch if I can't score a copy at my local Wal-Mart.

Speaking of my local Wal-Mart, holy crap check these deals out;

Pocahontas 1+2 - $19.96
Fox & The Hound 1+2 - $19.96
Lady & The Tramp - $14.96

And that's not all, I saw Hunchback of Notre Dame for a whopping $9.96. I've just gotta cop that after seeing it today(on tape, mind you). It's like top 5 disney movies for me right now, and that's after watching Pocahontas, Lion King, Fun & Fancy Free, Melody Time, Monsters Inc, and Lady & The Tramp in the span of a couple days

Also, I've seen Lion King 1 1/2 a bazillion times when it came out... it's a much better sequel than Lion King 2, but I'll get a copy from Amazon for like $6 as opposed to $19.96 at Wal-Mart. Only thing that makes Lion King 2 worth a DVD purchase would be the soundtrack; At any rate, I already own it on tape.

Err... $10 for Mario Kart Wii can safely be considered a "steal". Same deal with $25 for the gamecube Mario games.

It's always the gas, damnit.

Yeah, people rarely figure gas into the equation. Glad to see someone else does :)

So I'm guessing about 50 bucks total. Still nothing to cry about. As stated already, GH on its own makes it worthwhile.

Yeah, I am all over Code Princess, had preordered it from newegg when they had it for 10$ off. Guardian heroes was a nice score yeah, worth a bit. Contra was initially caught my eye as that I have seen go for 60$+ easy too and I had no idea about the guardian heroes until I got a chance to open them all.

I equate gas into things,  usually, lately I have been running so many errands for work I have been on work's gas dime so was more a time consideration than that of money. There have been numerous solid deals I have passed on simply due to distance and gas concerns made it less of a deal.

Do you have The Little Mermaid: Penis Edition yet?

BTW, I wasn't joking about this.  As I understand it, collectors really do look for this one since the artwork was revised for later releases.

I don't even have a regular Mermaid DVD, and I'm definitely not going to shell out for the penis edition... lol

Stuff that I was talking about in the August thread finally came in today so I figured I'd post pics.

N64 with Lego Racers, Quake II, and Ocarina of Time. Also, Rainbow Six 3 for Xbox.

Made my own version of the OoT cover to match with lumberjack's other LoZ covers.
With the UGCs added in price came to roughly $70 so not a bad deal imo. Especially with the price tag that Ocarina of Time carries around here.

Well, I have a tape of it. Dunno if it's the penis edition though.

The penis cover was only available on the 1st run of the VHS iirc.
