I am going to a store that sells retro games later today, I'm just getting the September pickups thread going. I'll post what I get later after I get it.

This will definitely be a slow month for me. I only plan to pick up Kirby's Dream Collection, and a crapload of Disney DVDs that I've been putting off purchasing. I should be getting Oliver & Company, A Goofy Movie, and Three Musketeers in the mail by the end of the next week(Due to labor day).

Other than that, I plan to print a few more PS1/GBA covers.

Likewise, I've got Kirby's Dream Collection reserved, and aside from that I'm going to try not to buy any games this month. Bought a lot in the last month, including UGCs, gamebits to open my carts and clean them properly, protective covers for my boxed games, and lots of random bits here and there...And the month before that I spent too much on the Steam Summer Sale. I need to let my funds build back up some and actually play some of the stuff I've bought already.

That's honestly not too far from what my game collecting has been recently. Tons of Steam sale items (Skyrim half-off ftw) in July and tons of retro gaming stuff in August.

Well I just bought a 1999 V6 Convertible ($2,800 cash).
Not game related, but pretty large purchase and I'm going to be broke for a while.

Yesterday (technically august eh) I traded a spare SNES and some commons for a Sega Saturn and 6 games.
Was happy to find its a model 2 and I'll probably be putting a mod chip in it.
I'm now getting pretty close to owning all the Sega home consoles lol

Just got back from Retro Games Plus. I went with my friend Kris, who was the guy with the eBay troubles.
Here is what I got.

Manuals- Star Wars Racer, WCW Mayhem, SNES Mouse, Game Boy - $6
Sonic 3D Blast -complete- $10
E-Reader, DK Jr. and Tennis - $7
Zelda Link To The Past - $25
NES Advantage - $10

My friend got

DJ Hero /W Controller - $20
Super Bomberman 2 - $15
Yoshi's Island - $20
Pokemon Stadium 2 - $20
Elebits - $8
Metroid Prime Hunters - $12

That store was cool, I traded in 4 Wrestling N64 games and Home Alone 2 for NES for $4.30 and I got $5 for beating a level in SMW. I even got to play a VB. He had very good prices, but a small amount of things were overpriced, mostly things worth $1, Like SMB/ DH was $5. He had $50 NES Repos, and he knew about TCP. HE had some PS1, Saturn, 3DO and Dreamcast games in DVD cases with covers.

Today I got in the mail Zelda Twilight Princess and Four Swords for the Gamecube and Castlevania IV for the snes (was so cheap from the same place I couldn't refuse even though I already have it).

That's a rather vague vehicle description.  What it is?

Well. If it's a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird, I would be reluctant to announce it too..LOL

In the interests of making good of my intentions posted in the GCW thread (yet trying to let that thread die), I'll post my ups here.

Sometime this week, I'm probably snagging a sealed Rolling Thunder.  I'll scan it a bunch, and then resell it at probably half of what I'll pay for it (I already have a reliable loose copy of it, and can't justify sitting on it if someone needs a CiB copy - as for selling it at a loss, I'd rather make someone's day than a profit).

I'm trying to find good boxes for Phantom Fighter, Master Chu & the Drunkard Hu, Godzilla and the PC/Tandy version of Thexder.

If any of you come across these and don't want them for yourselves, let me know.

If you are a strong contributor here and tip me off to a box that I buy, I'll probably donate the box to you after I submit the scans as a way of saying thank you.

Crap, while I am at it (and have your attention), I have very good condition boxes for both the NES and SNES cleaning kits.  Both are complete, except for the kits themselves, and the manuals.

I was going to list them on eBay, but, screw it.  If any establish cover artist here wants them, they're yours for the cost of shipping.
Go with Godzilla,

Jim

So they are just the boxes? I may want them. I'll see if no one else claims them.

No, sir, it's everything but the cart and manual - inserts and all.

I havn't personally been out to Yard Sales or Flea Markets for a while, so most things I have/will get are from other people doing my dirty work while they are out.

In Gamestop I got Legend of Heroes 1 and 3 complete for about 12 bucks for the both of them.
Avalon Code for the DS, Magical Starsign, Ys: Ark OF Napishtim -PSP, both Fallout Expansion Pack Discs.

And on the 18th I will be getting my Loot Chest.

Picked up a few that I've been after for a while.

Can't wait to play Lufia 2 again.  I used to rent it all the time back in the day
