While I don't want to encourage an "e-mail Bomb" to Nintendo or anything, I do want to encourage well through out (better than what I did, at least) e-mails and phone calls to Nintendo asking them to stop this practice of shipping games in crappy sleeves.
Dear Nintendo...
Today, I purchased the Wii Zapper bundle with Link's Crossbow Training. While the $20 price tag was nice, I have to say, I'm ticked that, once again, as with Wii Sports, the game was shipped in a crappy cardboard sleeve. Fine, I know I can order my own cases and print my own cover insert (all at an additional cost), but the issue is the fact that optical media isn't really designed to be shipped in such a fashion - so here I've just purchased a brand new game and the surface area of the disc already has minor scratches on it (cosmetic only, the game plays fine).
To make matters worse, while checking out the package to see if a regular retail case would fit inside, while allowing the box to retain the same dimensions, I notice that the cardboard insert is actually designed to hold a regular game case!

Come on! This sucks! And, to top it off, while I may care enough (too much?) about my game to order me another case to store it in, most people won't - they'll simply use the cardboard sleeve, allowing it to get scratched more and more... I work retail and have people come in every so often looking for a new Wii Sports disc because the old one is scratched (and they don't know how it got that way... gee, let me guess!)
So, what I'm asking - nay, begging for y'all to do is stop giving us these crappy cardboard sleeves. If WiiFit comes shipped in one of these... I'll... well... Buy it anyway, buy a replacement case and print another cover off... But I won't be happy about it!
