Nearly always the covers are print ready, but sometimes some computers screw the DPI, so I'd suggest using print preview.

I know this is probably way off topic, but before I knew about you guys; and you guys are a great site by the way, but I ganked, and still do to some degree, retail covers from GameStop for my games; mainly PS2, Gamecube, and PSP, that didn't have any at the time or had their crappy generic covers on them. I would go on their site, look up the games I had no covers for, find out what stores they were at, write them down on a piece of paper, along with the store they were at, and then straight up walked in there the next time my mom would take me or my sisters shopping somewhere that had a GameStop, found the the game box with the cover I was looking for, hide behind a shelf where no one in the store was, and sneakily took the cover off the box and put it in one of my 2 bottom pockets of my cargo pants, or a jacket pocket of a jacket I was wearing, then put the box back on the shelf and walked out of the store with the covers. Please do not, be mad, hate me, berate me, or ban me for this, I did what I had to do, because at the time a lot of those games were too expensive to just re-buy for the cover, or most times I was broke and couldn't buy them again, so I ganked them. My collection looks a helluva lot better because of what I did, but still have some that I have no covers for.

Always makes me laugh when people say they steal things because they didn't have the money to buy it.  Unless you stole food because you were broke and starving,  that's not an excuse.  Same for downloading and pirating.  Truth is you did it because you wanted it and didn't want to buy it.  You didn't need it, you weren't entitled to it,  you just wanted it.

I don't care that you did it - I've downloaded myself.  But at least I'm honest about it.  I don't try to justify it.

My mommy took me to the store so I could steal paper covers.

Back in my day, you got a friend to get the single Kay-Bee employee that would work the early shift away from the counter for whatever reason, then you'd go behind the counter and steal the whole game, not just the cover.  Stealing paper is pansy shit.

Also, what Sheep said.  Stupid entitled kids.  You didn't and don't "need" anything.

Closest I've done to that is getting the download code cards out of rental display cases.

See, the rental place here, the games they put out to rent are the normal retail release and come with everything, but they take the disc out, put it in their special rental cases, and use the normal case as a display/cover art on the shelf, with the manual and everything else still in it. So if a game has a code to unlock content outside of the game (or in the game if I'm planning to buy it used), I take a pic of the code card with my cell phone (no physical evidence), then go home and punch it in.
