Wiggys review is about as impartial as it gets, he's simply stating his issues with the product and backing up why he feels that way.

I have no real problem with GCW, some of my covers are on there...hell I'm pretty sure most of us have a cover or two on there. They give credit to TCP and that's as much as I feel they need to do.

But to not share their raws with a community that they've taken so much from over a product review? Not a positive step at all.

I am honored, though.  They even felt my sub-par Casino Kid II cover was worth selling at full tilt, moiré effect and all!

If people is so lazy to buy frankensteined UGC cases with free for all printed covers for 8+ dollars a piece they deserve bad quality products; it's like a karma thing.
I mean, c'mon guys, $0.42 + $0.90 for a NEW UGC and a HQ printed cover, respectively, or $0.56 for a clear scanavo case (so you don't have to mod your case for NES games) is a steal, why would you buy overpriced stuff from a random guy at eBay?

I can't believe how lazy and money-thrower some gamers are.

I wouldn't go as far as to call them thieves, they're no more or less a thief from taking from us than we are for taking from the owners of the original art but I totally understand your point.

Essentially were all bootleggers of some variety, it cones from a loving place but in most cases its still unlawful use (in some countries). However since were all fans doing this, why not adhere to  the old saying "honor amongst thieves".

Also, let's not turn this into a debate about copyright or ownership or whatever. I can't face another one! haha.

This is exactly the reason Wiggy has made this thread.  To explain to the consumer exactly what they are getting so we can decide for ourselves whether we want to buy it.

All you've done is discourage anyone who wants to strike out and make their own fan art covers from EVER posting here.

False.  Wiggy and many others are extremely supportive of novice covers.  They provide valuable insight for people who are starting out, and many of the more experienced people will simply take a rough cover and finalize it for us.

I was going to share some of my many new scans of posters form Nintendo Power because I do posters now.  I was ABOUT TO POST ALL MY SCANS, God, I'm so glad I didn't.  SO SO SO glad I didn't.  I also just made a cover this morning from a box, I was going to post the raw scan and the remastered new cover on here.

The honest review we can handle.  The war started when Wiggy decided to release our original image as a full resolution scan and made it publicly available.  Lawyers and the site admin have been contacted.

Oh man, this is priceless!

You take everyone's hard work and sell it, then I share one of your covers made up of 90% "found" images, that are all copyrighted, and a single graphic that you say you made (again, copyrighted likeness that you don't own), and you've somehow been wronged?!  This is beyond hilarious

You didn't call a lawyer. If you had half a brain, then you'd know that's gonna get you just about nowhere. Plus, why risk damaging the place that keeps your business afloat? I can't wait for your argument. "I made that image of a copyrighted character for which I do not own the license. I'm gonna sue!"

Based on your other work, I'm about 99% sure that the image that you claim to have created was built by someone else. Prove me wrong.

Hey buddy by that same logic. This fourm hold records of dates and username of cover makers. So in turn wouldnt you have to remove everycover found on this site off of your site to have your argument make some sense? Again thinking logically here.

^^^ Just don't sell em and nobody will ever care.  It's the same as copying a videotape.  If you do it for your own purposes, who's gonna even know about it? 

This site has existed for a long time based (mostly) on the fact that original content creators do not know about or do not care about taking action.  Well now you have an original artist who would like content removed from the site and has contacted the admins to make this happen.  They have been given a window of 24 hours to comply. 

Wiggy - I have your real name and mailing address.  Of which if after 24 hours the link to the full resolution scan of our image is not removed completely, you will be receiving a certified letter from our attorney's office which will be postmarked tomorrow.
