Hey, I apologize to you in advanced! I thought you were crazy like GCW until Larry pointed out to me that you're different. My mistake for not doing the research.  :-\

Um... wow. Let me state that I'm fine with a perfectly honest review of something related to TCP, but let's keep the personal attacks out of this. I know there are LOTS of missing posts here based on reading the thread and that there has been hostility on both sides. Let's turn this around and keep building the greatest library of covers on the interent.

Wow this is one entertaining thread!

GCW uses almost every snes vertical i have made and i told them i didnt care a while back, they gave me some covers they had made that i asked for mainly for reproductions and tbh i still dont care they use them as i dont own any rights to them anyway.

However the bs they made up and personal attacks on Wiggy I was just like wtf am i actually reading them call him a peado? just how fucked up does it get?

And since this thread is getting lots of attention someone give me scans for snes Cannon Fodder, Micro Machines 2 and Pocky & Rocky 2 pretty please! :)

No worries whatsoever.  I want to say, again, that you guys do tremendous work, and that my business is about providing cases to people that don't feel like doing it themselves (which I don't necessarily understand).  I can also say with confidence that 90% of my internet traffic comes from people that are probably downloading the covers, since some of the ones I have I made myself.

Many of my covers are not up to par with the ones you guys slave over - that's why I am really on board with contributing scans wherever possible.

In fact, I have scans to upload of a few PS1 titles. :)

ALso, I agree with Snow.  I have my differences with how GCW has conducted themselves, but, attacking them solves nothing.

Then again, had they approached you guys differently in the first place, none of this would have happened.

Hello guys,

I completely agree with Harp00nX, what an interesting topic...

I didn't know about this GCW before I read this thread. So, out of curiosity, I went on their website to discover that all my N64 conversions are already on sale...  :-\

Even if I don't like the idea of someone using my work for commercial purposes, I completely understand that we can't do anything about it. Besides, it's not that big of a deal for me as I mainly do covers for the fun of it. (And if I can help some gamers on the way, that's even better)

But honestly, after reading the whole topic and what this GCW person was pretending, I was shocked  :o.

18 years of experienced in design and she is using the work of someone who has 5 years of exerienced in ..........................................  BIOLOGY RESEARCH.  ;D (And around 18 DAYS in design  ;D)

Congratulations, really  ::)

Good evening everyone.

Wiggy since searching for "paper" in the forums gets a million contradictory and slightly vague threads, and your initial review of the product indicated a solid knowledge of paper and ink...

What do you use to print your own cases and what would you reccomend I buy? And do you have any advice at all on setting up proper home color calibration?

I should just start a thread. I get a fair amout of PMs about just that sort of thing.  I'll try and put one together in the next few days.

I'm almost embarrassed for Paula and her lack of knowledge about paper and ink, especially since she would've had a lot more experience with print if she was indeed doing design work about 20 years ago.  There's a good amount of really digestible science involved with all types of printing. It's pretty cool actually, if you're into that sort of thing.

Just to make a note, there is no backlog of activations.

Nope there isn't, well long anyway.

Activations are handled 2-6 times a day.

I guess I made that assumption based off of the thread that had something to the effect of "I finally got activated", or something.

*shrugs*  As I said in the OP, I didn't consider it a big deal - didn't mean it as a dig of any kind.
