Looks like Paula was kind enough to delete her posts and account.

Hopefully this means that the review can stand without any more crying and whining.  Of course, I'm sure she'll continue her bitching and moaning over on her blog since nobody has the ability to call her out on her completely ludicrous accusations and lies, but at least it's there and not here :D

^^^ This.  I think if they made the effort to contribute something more to the site, maybe it people wouldn't frown as much on their "business" as much?  At least users here on TCP.

Like Mojoskateco said, maybe using some of their profits to buy some CIB's (boxes) that this site doesn't currently have covers for, and providing those scans to the artists/photoshoppers here to use...  That could go a long way.  At least IMO.

The best thing about that sort of relationship is that it would be symbiotic.

They wouldn't have to make every cover themselves, and we'd get scans of stuff that we're missing.  It would be win-win!  Too bad they're so short-sighted and incredibly obtuse.

Superchop:

I never really had anything against GCW.  I thought it was a bit messed up that they would be making money from others work.  I also thought that it was a decent idea for those that don't have the means to print out the covers themselves or to get the needed supplies, especially UGC's since you can't just buy a few at a time.  I even considered buying a couple of cases from them for a couple loose carts that I have.  The only thing that really stopped me was the cost.

Anyway, after reading Wiggy's review, I was actually a bit disappointed in the quality.  But I also figured that it was only a single case.  It's still not to say that all of their covers are printed the same way.  1 negative review can be bad but at the same time it's really only 1 review among many others that I'm sure can be just as positive.  While that review may sway the minds of many, truth be told, the minds that it would sway would be the ones who were already on the fence about buying said product anyway.  It isn't enough to fully stop someone if they really wanted to buy the product.

Unfortunately though...after the reaction from the site/company owner, I in no way shape or form would want to do business with them.  They acted very immaturely, childish, hypocritical and extremely unprofessional.

The only thing that they did to even seem professional is to offer a refund.  And that's really all they had to do.  Just a simple message apologizing for Wiggy's unhappiness and the refund offer.  From a consumer's point of view, that's horrible customer service and from the few posts and blog their reputation has forever been tainted.  Something that a business like theirs that target a specific audience which is already extremely small as it is.

I'm in full agreement.  Win-Win for sure.

I don't know why this isn't possible??  Providing some scans, especially if they're able to use some of their profits to pick up some rare boxes for "the cause".  I'd definitely soften my stance against their "business" if they were a contributing member to our community, rather than simply poaching/raping it for personal gain.

I think we've scared "Paula" off the fourms, so who knows how she feels about this type of propsition??  I'm sure she'll be lurking reading all of this, as you can bet she's still got the Cover Project bookmarked! ;)
