Hey everyone,

In an effort to make my SNES collect as retail-centric as possible, I was comparing currently cased games to their retail artwork and found two that look close to retail, but still differ in several ways. I was hoping someone might be able to provide some true retails for Soul Blazer and Congo's Caper on the SNES (NTSC).

(Sorry, not raws, but comparison artwork. Spot the differences!)

Thanks for any help!

EDIT: Found another that isn't retail, though it's labelled as such: Super Mario Kart.

The pictures you are providing are not 300dpi. We would not be able to update or create any covers with those images  :( :(

Whats different? I can see soul blazer is missing the side text bx and the bottom logos are in different places. It looks forthe most part they can be redone by moving things around. I might give Mario Kart a try soon.

Yeah, I am sadly aware of this, shenske. I provided the pictures simply to illustrate the differences.

The differences are subtle, but there are a few notable ones.

Soul Blazer differences:

Missing text box, Missing "Enix" logo below text box, Nintendo Seal of Quality should be in bottom left corner and "Licensed by Nintendo" in top right, black bar on right should be wider, should be no "Sold by Enix" in bottom left, "Super Nintendo Entertainment System" further to the right, and the black frame around the image should dip down between the seal of quality and Super Nintendo.

That's the front of the box. The back is much simpler, as the only discrepancy is the Enix logo.

Congo's Caper Differences:

No "ESRB Rating" on either front or back, "Licensed by Nintendo" should be in top left and "Nintendo Seal of Quality" should be in bottom left.

Super Mario Kart Differences:

These are quite similar to the differences on the Congo's Caper cover, plus the missing text box.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that any of them can be fixed just by moving a few things around.  :(

Those are some odd alterations to the retail packaging :/

They're all easy to fix. Just pushing logos around and a little tiny bit of clone stamp to fill in what's covered up by the strangely placed logos/icons.

"Clone Stamp"? Intriguing... I was unaware of such a feature. Of course, any cover that I have altered for my own OCD reasons, I have done so in paint, simply moving things around and filling in the remaining spaces with color.

Yeah, it's a pretty invaluable Photoshop tool.

Ive got good scans for Soul Blazer. I already started on a new full retail cover. Just need to finish up the legal text on the back and some small tweaks and she'll be good to go!
