-Some puzzles defied logic, and the game gives you no help to fugue them out.

The remake on the 3ds has the sheikah stones which actually give you hints on a lot of things in the game.  I personally didn't use them much cause the couple times that I did I noticed that it would practically spoon feed you the information.  I thought it took away what little challenge the game had to practically no challenge at all :(

Majora's Mask was just as fun and had more of a challenge but I only played through it once.  The masks though were a fun thing to do in the game.  I loved turning into a deku scrub, goron and a zora, each with their respective abilities.  Added to the fact that every mask actually has a use (unlike OoT) It felt like you could do a lot more in game.  And the final "ultimate" mask was pretty badass too...just a shame it's uses were extremely limited.

Majora's Mask had a very dark undertone which I thought was done real well, especially since Zelda games aren't typically known for that.  Everyone is freaking out and/or leaving town on the third day, the moon is so close by then and looks menacing as all hell (which is tough to convey in the blocky polygons that the N64 was known for bringing), and even the changes in music give the final day a rather frantic and disturbing feeling.  Overall I was very impressed with the atmosphere in MM and even though it's much maligned by many Zelda fans, I personally love it.

Yeah.

I was playing MM first time in dark half asleep and almost shat myself when the cutscene after the first castle (MINI SPOILER MINIMIZED the one you play as Deku Kid started.

Majora's Mask has its haters, but from what I've seen they are in the minority. Nothing compared to the number of people who hate on Zelda 2 or Wind Waker for no good reason.

I'm so far loving the game, I might even say I like it more than OOT, But it's too early to say. I have not accomplished much, but I have a Idea on what to do.
I'll post my item list from OOT in a second.

Yes but how many bottles did you have?  ;)  My 100% has like 6 bottles with fairies (2 with the glitch).  I don't see how you could possibly die with 20 hearts, the white borders, and that many resurrections.

Fairies = EZ mode :)

Edit: I'm sure this is why Skyward Sword only gives you a certain # of hearts upon resurrection.  Getting full health is so cheap.

I had 3, I forgot to write that. I had my bottles full of faeries, and I think I used one during the Ganon battle.
You had 120 Hearts if all 6 bottles are filled, and I guess with the 1/2 hit, you technically had 240.
Random fact, I have a friend named Gannon and he has a Triforce tattooed on his hand.

Link: ...
Zelda: Link, where is the Ocarina?
Link: I got a bunch of Bottles, can you send me back with that?

You know one thing that's always bothered me about OoT?

It's when Saria (his lifetime friend) gave link the fairy ocarina as a gift...a gift from her heart!  And then Link just tosses it away once the girl whom he only met once gives him her Ocarina.

If I were Saria...I'd be pissed.....

It annoys me how every one of the sages is in love with Link.

But with Saria, It would not work after a couple years, her being stuck a child and Link growing up and everything. I think that is illegal.

I never saw their relationship as being romantic. Saria always loved Link as a friend (forever friend zoned). Its Ruto that wants to ride the pole...and maybe Nabooru

I'm sorry I have to say this, but you said it, not me. If every sage was in love with him, then that makes Link a bi-sexual, cuz he'd be doing Rauros (Light), Saria (Forest), Darunia (Fire), Ruto (Water), Impa (Shadow) and Nabooru (Spirit). Doing it with Darunia would probably hurt, with him being a Goron and all.  lol  ;D

  • It's dangerous to go alone...
According to Miyamoto, it's actually Navi who has feelings for Link and is a jealous of Princess Zelda. That never got fleshed out in game, but those intentions are there supposedly. Ruto is like the creepy obsessive girlfriend (forced fiancee  :o), Saria is definitely the childhood friend to the Nth degree, and Zelda is always the one people root for, but I didn't sense any actual romantic vibes in Ocarina; maybe a little puppy love when they were kids, but nothing to write home about. (Skyward Sword is DEFINITELY a different story ;)) My vote was for Malon, just so we're all clear. :D

Anywho, maybe the reason Navi says all of that useless stuff is because she was trying to confess her love to Link each time they spoke, but she chickened out and said something painfully obvious about their surroundings instead to recover.  ;D
Navi: "Hey! Listen!"
Link: "WHAT?!"
Navi: "I wanted to say...oh...um....hit that spider in the back!"

Some time later
Navi: "Hey! Listen!"
Link: "WHAT?!"
Navi: "I...lov....her eye is the weak point!"

Le more time later in the Shadow Temple
Navi: "Hey! Listen!"
Link: "WHAT?!"
Navi: "I...want to hold....your....HANDS! Hit Bongo Bongo on his hands!!!"

Why don't YOU try confessing your love to someone when they're always in an epic battle. It's not easy, huh? ;D
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

This post got a little odd, anyway I beat the first boss in MM.
I fooled around the town a bit, trying to get the Anju quest don, but got to a point were I needed to go to a place I can't yet.
I then went on to beat the first temple.

The 2 bosses were better than the ones in OOT. I loved how the mini bos started out east, just some lizard buy, but after a hit or 2, a turtle comes out of nowhere and then you had to switch between Deku and Normal Link to defeat it. The last boss was fun too.

I also got the bunny hood, one element of GOOD game design is when I was doing the task to get it, I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew what I was doing was right.
Oh this guy likes chickens, I have a chicken mask. OHH YOU CAN MARCH! Aww, the baby chickens are fallowing me, the sound that plays when one fallows me gets higher every time I get a new one, better get them all, I got them all, they all grew up? WTF? YAY I WON!

The main map is layed out better than OOT too, Everything is easy to find and easy and fast to get too. I hit a huge brick wall in OOT when I first started playing it because I could not find Zora's domain, From a distance it did not look like anything was there, it took me a long tome to finally find it, about a year.  :( The bunny hood makes moving much faster, and you can get it early on in the game, unlike Epona. Deku link also moves faster than Link.

I also like the whole 3 Day story thing, It makes better characters and more believable towns. The note book was a good addition too, so you know when important stuff will happen.
