I was planing to start MM after my OOT play through, I do own it. I own it twine. I got 2 special editions I cot from a tag sale for $1. The parts I said that are "pure blasphemy" I would probably like to know. I plan on some time in the future doing a review show, a look at older games with no nostalgia glasses, and a few others I might have something to say about and would like to know some things that might start a flame war. I do not plan on starting the show for a while, and when I plan on reviewing Mario and Sonic games before Zelda. I would probably review all pre-Gamecube ones, but that requires playing them, and I still need to do that. I never said I was not having fun with OOT, I so far love the game just some things do get in the way a bit. I think I focused on the minor aspects of the game that annoy me more than the good. I will play the water temple probably 2 days from now, I screwed up my sleeping scheduled again and I suck at games when I am tired, Some of you might know *Mega Man X* and today I sleep, or at least play something easy, like Yoshi Story. I already beat that game but I have not played all the levels. |

Going from having to battle the hanging big spiders with your sward, and trying to get them to spin so you kill them You don't have to make them turn. Stand next to them and they will automaticly turn. Are you playing N64 or GC version? If GC version, do you have the collector's edition that has Master's quest? If yes, prepare to baldness as you pull your hairs in frustration. The game has so wierd dungeons with so illogal puzzles. |

I'm playing the N64 Gold cart version. It has been a while seance I battled one without the hook shot and my memory was a bit fuzzy I might have been confusing it with something else. I thought you hit them and they spin around. Is the master quest worth tracking down and playing? Whats different? If it is hard I can just buy THIS. Does all the hard work for you. |

Basic dungeon layout same, but room order and puzzles totally different. Like shoot a cow burried hafl thru the wall only butt showing. --- Quote from: larryinc64 on August 24, 2012, 08:04:45 AM ---If it is hard I can just buy THIS. OoT is widely regarded (including myself) as a masterpiece so it's hard to accept criticism I suppose. Obviously it does have a few camera issues but as far as jumping and such goes I would attribute that more to the player (or perhaps your controller?). Also the earlier puzzles I feel were a bit easier to get you used to the method of solutions, but also they are just interspersed with the harder ones. It's better than just walking through a room with no bad guys in my opinion. As Arseen said, Master Quest is the same game only virtually all of the puzzles are redone and many are not intuitive at all. Something that was really simple in the original could take you quite awhile to figure out in MQ. Good Luck! |
