--- Quote from: Dr.Agon on August 21, 2012, 03:06:28 PM ---i dont keep a list of what i have, which has led to me buying games twice so maybe i should? i do however have a list of games i want, as i do most of my game shopping online its fairly easy to check it before buying anything... --- End quote --- Obviously I do to, as evidenced by my earlier post, but it's almost NEVER anything that costs more than 5 bucks. I can live with that. In fact, the 21 year old twins across the street just got into retro gaming this past year, so they almost always end up with my doubles :) |

I keep notepad files for every game library. It's also easy to keep track of what I have because, quite frankly, I try to keep my libraries reasonably sized so as to prevent such an issue. I only keep games I know I like and enjoy, and don't buy games just for the sake of "collecting" with very very few exceptions, and even in those exceptions I do utilize them. |

I've tried the collectorz app on my iphone, the movie one I liked but the video game one kept crashing on me after scanning in a single game. Probably because of certain jailbroken capabilities but none the less I sorta gave up on it. I'm using the Game Vault one now and it's not too bad, but not one that I really like. I looked into NintendoAge, and I actually enjoyed going through that site. Seeing the various covers and manual scans really brightened up my day since I was able to look at the manuals of some of my old NES games. backloggery I'll have to check out tomorrow. Just pulled out my old pc games out of the attic and I didn't realize how many pc games I really had...even though i've only played a couple lol Excel and Access are probably still gonna be my main software of choice, especially Access once I remember how to fiddle around it more. The pen and paper route though, wouldn't work with my OCD lol, I'd have to rewrite every page over again if a new game was added and it wasn't listed alphabetically. |

Backloggery seems a bit convoluted, honestly. :/ At least with notepad files, you don't need an internet connection. |

It's free and I love it :D --- End quote --- I use this too. I can access it from my phone's web too :) It can be very difficult to keep track of everything if you don't have some sort of system. |
