Modding project suggestions?

palmer6strings:

You could always make a pro sound Game Boy. There is lots of detailed instructions out there for that. I'd suggest using an already damaged one for it though.

sadikyo:

The ultimate SNES mod:

A starfox themed 'bed' ship that has a joystick type controller for the control panel of the ship, and then the TV is the screen or glass of the front of the ship.

And when I say ship, I mean fully enclosed replica - like you walk into the room and BAM, starfox ship in your face.

It technically counts as a mod because the SNES system is built into the ship.

C'mon - you know it would be freaking awesome.  If you're asking for ideas, make it big!!!

Ah put a sock in it! You guys get native RGB support through scart - over here in the US that requires a VGA upscaler and a hand-wired scart to d-sub converter. You can't have everything! We deserve at least this one little victory. ;D

If I'm not mistaken:
US SNES outputs RGB but TVs don't accept it
EU SNES doesn't output RGB but TVs accept it.

Wierd.

That's why I have Universal SNES made from US SNES.

PAL SNES outputs RGB just fine ;)

JDavis:

It's the N64 that European versions (except French, IIRC) don't do RGB.

French N64 doesn't natively output RGB, but it's the only PAL version that can be RGB modded.
