Hello all, I mentioned this in another thread, but I thought it would be good to make a new thread to request scans / images of old maps or posters. I'd like to fix them up a little --- try to get rid of the fold lines, clean them up a little bit - to make nice clean map images. In a way this could be a request for you I suppose. If you have a map / poster / advertisement that you have that you'd like to see a little bit..."nicer" just let me know and I'll see what I can do. I'm choosing these items because I don't think many people have been working on this, yet there are tons of people working on covers, manuals, etc. Thanks! |

rech0rd, That is a pretty low-res scan, but I'll see what I can do. Do you happen to have the original or was this obtained on the internet? |

BAM! Click on the Tumbnail to download a 600 dpi scan that is a RARed Bitmap @ 47.2 MB. Original Size was roughly the same as a sheet of Letter Size Paper (8.5 x 11 inches). It's not in the best condition; it definitely needs some work, but man, it'll be so worth it. ;) Especially if the cleaned up version can be blown up and made into a poster. ;D If you can clean it up, I'll send ya a big poster of it. I'll also send one to the first person to post a better scan of it, making it easier for ya to tweak. |
