I had quite the pickup.  How to begin ......  $50 investment got me.....

To start off with, many of you may know that i work at a very large GameStore  ;)
One of the perks to working there is the ability to sign up for PlaySations RLS site.  Long and short of it i fill out surveys which gets me points. The points are used (along side $10 per item) to buy playstation games and products. They seem to be doing some spring cleaning lately and are bulking mulitple games into one package.  I spent $50 IN TOTAL on the following items.

Doesn't stop there ......

Some of these games i don't really have any deisre to play so i decided to trade some of these in.  The "good " ones i traded into GameStore and the rest of the stuff i took to the pawn shop.  I got $43 for what i traded into GameStore.
I took most of the PSP games into the pawn shop and got $55 credit to which i then bought games form his shop. The games i picked up were for both personal use and there were a few gems that i knew GameStore would give me a decent price for.  So basically i just did a straight swap with the pawn shop.

It keeps going ......

Back to GameStore. I traded in some of the games i picked up from the pawn shop and got $104 store credit.  So I now have $147 that i can apply to my WiiU when it become pre-orderable!  BUT the nice part is i got to keep a bunch of games in the process!!!

Long Story Short.  My $50 investment turned into $147 towards the WiiU and I got the following games to keep:

Not bad. There are some keepers in there, for sure. Also you'll probaly only have to pay $100ish for a Wii-U now.

Alright, finally got around to taking pics of some of the stuff I got this month...

First up, I bought Monster Hunter: Freedom for the PSP, Silent Hill 2 for the PS2, and Resident Evil 4: Premium Edition for the PS2 from the store I work at.

All three are used. I don't remember exactly what I paid (and I'm too lazy to look it up at the moment), but I think I got a decent enough deal on them. I know Monster Hunter was less than $2, and considering how popular that series is in Japan I figured that was a decent enough price ;) The case does have a lot of sticker gunk on it, though, which I haven't gotten around to removing yet.

I also haven't played any of the Silent Hill games yet, but I know SH2 is pretty widely considered the best; and I've heard that they didn't do the best job with the HD collection version, so I was more than happy to pick it up as well. I still need to take that Gamestop sticker (note: NOT where I work) off the case.

I already had Resident Evil 4 on PS2, but this Premium Edition comes with a steelbook case, Making Of DVD, Laser Cell of Ada Wong, and a "Prologue" book that talks about the series history and the plots of the games before this one. ;D

Next up, I was doing some usual shopping in Wal-Mart, when I happened across a buggy of items on clearance for only $2. It was mostly stuff I had no interest in (hunting/fishing equipment, sporting goods, etc.), but I noticed some familiar packaging sticking out of all that, and after some digging, found a second of said item as well...

Not that I really needed more PS2 memory cards at the moment, but for the most part these things are still several times more than $2, so I wasn't going to turn them down.

I picked these up at the only store in town (not counting pawn shops) that carries retro games (the store I work at only does current systems... and PS2 for some reason). They have decent enough pricing... The prices tend to be about what my collection/price guide apps (the PureGaming.org ones) say the stuff should go for, or usually a little less. From time to time I'll get a great deal on an obscure title ($8 for Faria), because this is Oklahoma and most of the people who go in there won't know much beyond Mario. Best of all, they have a constant sale on anything $4.99 or less at 3 for $10, which is how I got Super Star Wars, Super Return of the Jedi, and T&C Surf Designs here.

And even more in the store's favor: T&C's warning label on the back had about the middle half of it torn off, but since the guy who runs the store knows I'm the collector type, he swapped the back of the cart with another (less valuable) one for me, and even cleaned the pins since he had it open.  ;D

Starfy from work. SNES controller extension cables from Amazon (they were almost exactly the amount I needed for Free Shipping on something)...

Finally... These. My store put a bunch of... Frankly crap games on clearance. They started out at $4.99 or $9.99 depending on the title. Then they all went to $2.99. Then $1.99. Now, finally, they were 99 cents each. At that price, I decided to go ahead and grab some DS games just for the cases. I also got some PS2 games to replace the cases on some games I had that were in normal DVD cases, and finally I bought a Rock Band track pack and Sneak King because... Well, 99 cents. Whatever.

The DS and PS2 games I'm going to take by the store that deals in retro stuff and see if they'll give me any credit for them. One of my friends actually already bought a couple of the DS games off me for $1. If they don't want any of them (and I can't blame them), I'll probably post them to ebay.
