I imagine Dracula X must have set you back a bit too.

I would love to own a copy of Hagane. I really enjoy Hudson Soft's games. And Taito's. Wouldn't you know it, a few of their games end up being quite valuable.

I recently watched a pick up video where a kid scored 90 or so boxed SNES games at an estate sale, Hagane and Wild Guns among them. The price paid for each game?

$1.

Sigh, "I recently watched a pick up video where a kid scored 90 or so boxed SNES games at an estate sale"

You don't need Winter Gold for Starfox 2 with save function, there are cheaper donors available.

You don't need Winter Gold for Smooth rolling or Overclocked Starfox 2, Doom is good enough.

You need Winter Gold only for Smooth rolling or Overclocked Starfox 2 with save function, and I think the save function is only for highscore keeping?

So unless you are crazy like me, go with either with save function or higher framerate.

Looks like you can actually use Doom to get the overclocked version with save function as well - requires a diode, SRAM chip, and a battery holder but supposedly it can be done. Can't seem to find the guide though.... ::)
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

I don't think he's actually THAT young, but he looks it. Maybe 19, 20? Sadly, that's now considered a kid in my book.

To be fair, some people have gotten REALLY lucky with pawn shop/goodwill finds, and often find games that demand high prices online for a mere couple dollars.

It's harder now than it was a few years ago, I guess that's why online prices are up.

Dracula x was essentially free.  I traded a bunch of stuff that had zero cost to me to acquire it.

Hagane I overspent on but the cash was all from reselling games at a profit.

I saw that the value was climbing and figured I'd acquire it before it gets even more expensive.

If I ever come across it later chances are I would be able to sell or trade it pretty easily

Just hit 30 last week.  I guess I'm now part of the "Old Men's Club" here. :)

I think you were talking about this recently but, I watched a couple videos of a "kid" that would show off what games he got from a deal. One time he got a package from a craigslist listing and he opened and showed the games. Instead of saying stuff like, "This games is fun" and whatnot. Guess what he says? "Oh, this game! I don't have this in my collection yet". You know how kids buy the games they don't know about and never play them? Well, I'm pretty sure this kid knew about the games just never played them. But, with the exception of PS2 and up. Oh yeah, he'll talk about those Current gen consoles, but the only retro game he's ever played is probably Super Mario Bros. He's hoarding all of our stuff, and he making videos just to show he has Earthbound and he's never gonna play it.

And that's their MO. No need to worry about or get involved in one person's hang-ups. It's irritating, but there's nothing we can do about it.

Well here's my haul for today, the whole box was about $30 total. Excluding the multi-tap and Game Genie, looks like I paid around 50 cents a cartridge which isn't too bad.  ;)

Here's the whole box laid out:

These will mostly be donor carts for repros, but the Game Genie and Sonic were nice extras  ;D

I don't have an Intellivision yet, but I'll be picking one up to try these out (anyone have an Intellivision they'd like to sell?)

Some Atari classics - I have doubles here so I'll be cleaning these up and putting some up for sale fairly soon:

And one of my favorites of the day - a Donkey Kong style barrel; got it for free from the store that I work at. It'll look awesome in my man cave.  ;D
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

If you were to transform that barrel into a kegerator, you'd be my personal hero!
