I spend a fair amount of time on both Cheap Ass and Digitpress.  Both places have "XXX month pickups" threads.  Cool if I carry that idea over to good ol' TCP?

Since I'm doing this all at once, there are a few shots.

Today, local used shop, 20 bucks.

The 11th, local used shop, 50 bucks.

The 6th, Sears, 10 bucks.

The 3rd, Target, 10 bucks.

The 1st, local used shop and eBay, about 100 bucks.

My favorite pickup this month!  Free from fellow TCP members.  Thanks guys!

So let's see what you've grabbed in the month o' August thus far! ;D

Aw, come on. We need pictures or at least a complete list :)

13 bucks at the local shop. NES games are for a fellow TCPer.

It pisses me off in so many ways to see stickers over the labels on NES games.  I don't understand why stores felt the need to do this when there was plenty of room on the damn cart itself for stickers.  >:(

So I went to a local game shop and holy shit, I got $40.00 credit, I was like wow, why the hell did I ever go to Gamestop?!

Anyway picked up a few N64 favs for pretty cheap, they have like everything there like even Sega CD I was shocked, glad us real gamers have places like this store to go to  :D

Games X Change btw is the name of the store, and it's funny the guy was like oh GameStop is our competition. I was like, what competition, you clearly have more than them, care about your customers and you've got my business.

been a CAG for years, I have been tempted to make a pickups post but I think it would only show me how much I actually spend in a month lol

That said, nice finds glad to see I am not the only one who owns Spanky's Quest lol

Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Mario Paint, Donkey Kong Country, and Aladdin are the only good ones. Still, for free, that's a good deal.

Let's see... here's a rough list of what I've gotten this month, and what I will have by the end of the month as well;

Kingdom Hearts 3D
Mario Party 64
Dragon Warrior III
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Ratchet & Clank Collection

Also contemplating a MediEvil II purchase.

Personal opinion, NBA Jam T.E. is a good game.

The "only" good ones?  You make it sound like I said he'd stumbled upon the holy grail LOL!

For free, 5 or 6 solid titles is freakin' awesome!

Also, Mario Paint blows.  Plus, you can get it for almost nothing EVERYWHERE.  I think 95% of SNES lots on eBay have both MP and Battleclash mixed in :P

I was just talking about this on DP.  What makes it worse is that this particular chain of stores will put the sticker elsewhere if it's a pricey game, or even put it in a plastic baggy if it's really pricey.  How hard is it to treat ALL carts with a little bit of respect?  It takes me hours to clean up these games even without massive price stickers, and this crap doesn't make it any easier  >:(

Dude, making this thread totally made me realize that I spend a lot more than I thought every month.  Seeing all those purchases at once really does it.  I post regularly in the CAG threads, but that's one purchase at a time, spread out over many pages.  Way easier to ignore the grand total :/

Personal opinion, NBA Jam T.E. is a good game.

Agreed!

I haven't gotten much this month since I made a promise to myself I wouldn't spend money on any games until I beat a few I already have. I did get a model 1 Genesis free from my fiancé, though. I'm not even sure if it works since he didn't have any of the cables for it. Those should be coming in the mail in a few days. I also got two controllers with it but he said the left directional button is broken on one, and the A and B buttons on the other.

I also got a few games. I've never owned a Genesis before so I'm not sure how good all these games are aside from Sonic.
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Mickey Mania
- Taz-Mania
- Warrior of Rome II
- College Football's National Championship II
- Cliffhanger
- WF Raw
- Batman Returns
- WF Royal Rumble
- Batman: Revenge of the Joker
- Revolution X

Why are there so many copies of that game anyway?
