I have recently purchased a reproduction cartridge of Starfox 2 for the SNES and was curious if anyone would be willing to make a vertical cover for me. It would be nice if it looked like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Nintendo-NTSC-SNES-STARFOX-2-Box-Manual-/150867248303?pt=UK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item23206384af#ht_500wt_1288

Thak ooh!!

Thanks for including the link on a cool find.  Did you buy this already?

The reason I ask that, is this auction is weird...  and it may be what you want...  but that looks like an eprom that is simply burned with the StarFox 2 rom.  It's the same as buying something like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/1PCS-IC-ST-CDIP-32-M27C801-100F1-M27C801-80F1-M27C801-90F1-M27C801-100F6-M27C801-/261077551863?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc96f4af7

The reason the dude at gamereproductions sells Starfox 2 for $100 is because it is a pain to wire one of these up to a cart.  It takes a lot of wires, a lot of patience, and you have to be a really good solderer.  Wiring a Star Ocean to an SDD-1 is perhaps the only thing more frustrating.

If you haven't bought this, I would recommend you dont as there are plenty of Hong Kong shops that will sell you a 27C801 programed with Star Fox 2 for about $8 bucks shipped.  If you have bought it, I would contact the eBayer and ask for a refund.

No prob, I bit the bullet and spent a bit of money for mine, mainly because I know how much of a pain it is to make.

Unless someone would be willing to make this for me, I'll probably have to just buy it!! Blech!

There is third link the Stafox 2 cover in my Vertical SNES topic:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=10382.msg72518#msg72518

And which one to choose?
It's up to you, but all three covers are the exact same cover done by Shenske ;)

Well, I did see one on gamereproductions.com and it was like $100!! So I went on eBay and found the game without the shell for like $35 here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STARFOX-2-STAR-FOX-2-EPROM-PRE-BURNT-READY-INSTALL-/130745567034?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D1352726434528866365%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D2%26#ht_618wt_1271
That link is not a game cart it's just an Eprom IC chip with the game data wrote to it, absolutely useless unless you are planning on soldering it into a cart yourself. GR.com won't even reply to emails for me and ocd doesn't do SF2 :(

You need timewalkgames.com

You will have to wait though.... they arent currently accepting new orders as they are bogged down. They have 2 version of Star Fox 2 to choose from. 1 has the save feature but is on the old FX chip. The other id on the correct FX chip but has no save feature. (bit rarer due to the only game to have that chip being Doom SNES. So its called Doom edition as its written over that cart.)
