It's really just that they don't really care about you guys, so they just slapped it on any old place.

I used the file from the site. I can't scan it on my own since I don't have a EU version of the game :/

Just the spine.
Open spine (copy it) in Photoshop, use magic wand to pick the background and paint it one shade of brownish gold (same shade as back covers background.
Simple right? ;)
