yeah, he should have used the mv-1b or the mv-1a, both would have allowed the cart to slide in like a gameboy cart.

I'd disagree. That handheld's biggest problem is the many contrasting shades of red. (And/or burgundy)

The Neo Geo cabinet has one shade of red. And white. And a little black. Okay, and the buttons and the yellow and blue in the marquee. But mostly red and white (and black). It's an understated design that I've always loved.

From a design standpoint i think BenHeck's portable would have looked better if the 'purpleish" color he used was red.  The the red portion was diagonally striped in red and white.  That way its still all red with a little bit of NEO Geo white and red striped flair liek around the arcade machine's buttons  ;D

yeah, its not perfect, but it was a commission, so presumeably the guy who commissioned him to do it had a say in the final colours and stuff...
