The cockroaches in the SNES were dead then I opened it. Speaking of things inside of systems, My orange N64 had a broken 1/2 of a pencil inside. I still have no Idea how that got inside it. It seemed to be a running theme from the people I got the stuff from, the gamecube they gave me had a crayon in the disc laser. I think It broke the disc drive, but I think a friend of mine, who I gave it to, got it to work.

That's why kids under 10 should only be allowed to have original Gameboys, and nothing else. You can throw those from a moving vehicle and they'll survive. Anyone else remember that story in Nintendo Power like 25+ years ago about the GB that survived a fire?  Looked like a boiled turd, but still worked. They don't make em like that anymore.

The SNES that I got in that huge lot from my friend had roach shit and spider egg sacs in it. 'Twas an unpleasant cleanup job. Well, not really. I tossed all the parts in the dishwasher and let her rip :)

Still, it was nasty.

If I'm not mistaken, the particular Game Boy that you are thinking of was actually damaged when barracks were bombed during the 1990-1991 Gulf War. It may still be on display at the Nintendo World Store.

I also remember EGM doing a stress test feature on the original Game Boy Advance. Apparently, it could survive a toilet flush.

a smart phone can't even drop onto a pillow without breaking LMAO!

Yup, that's the one ;D

Boiled turd, just like I remember.  Crazy!

That thing is nearly invincible.  Whenever I see "broken" examples on eBay I just laugh.  So often they need the contrast knob simply turned up/down, a good cart port cleaning, or just have the batteries flipped around and installed correctly.
