Non cover request: Help make a banner for my top 100 GameBoy list!

Hey guys, I am hard at work finishing the first installment of my upcoming top 100 GameBoy and GameBoy Color games list, but I need the help of someone with some artistic photoshop skills.

I want to make a simple banner logo I can attach to the header of every entry in my top 100 list that reads "Top 100 GameBoy [slash or &] GameBoy Color games". Ideally, I'd like the GameBoy and GameBoy Color to use their official logos, and the font to be uniform and clean.  I'd like the image in .png format.

Dunno if this works for ya or not.  I couldn't find a way to squeeze Gameboy and Gameboy COLOR on there without it looking crummy.  I had put a little "*" with a footnote denoting that it's only GB and GBC, but honestly, I personally can't say that it'd be terribly confusing if it didn't have it totally spelled out for me.  Plus, you could always just clarify in a blurb before the list itself.

I hate to be a pain but if you don't mind, do you think you could also come up with something similar for my top 100 NES & Famicom list? I was never satisfied with the banners I used and if you can come up with something that looks as beautiful as that Top 100 GameBoy banner I can go ahead and delete my old ones and replace it with something I can proudly display.

Finding high resolution Nintendo Entertainment System and Famicom logos was tricky, but how about these?





I would prefer it say "Famicom" rather than "Family Computer", but beggars can't be choosers.

I've already got vector versions of EVERY Nintendo logo that I can think of.  I even made a Satellaview logo from scratch


I'll try and get it whipped up tomorrow sometime for ya.  Shouldn't take long.

Thanks. If you can make something that uniformly matches your GameBoy design that would be even more perfect. I hope you can put in just Famicom, but Family Computer works too. Looking forward to seeing you work your magic!

Don't worry about it, I've got a vector file.  I think it's English only, but I can't see that being a big issue, right?

Sure. They're fun to do and it's a nice break from doing covers and other design work.  Plus, it's pretty easy now that I have a sort of format and general aesthetic to work with


Are the size and aspect ratio ok?  I can easily shrink em down or tweak the length vs height if need be.

Sorry to ressurect such an old topic, but I have a new request!

The reason the 100 GameBoy/GameBoy Color editorial fizzled out was because I was trying to do too much with it all at once. I've decided it would be a much better idea to do two completely separate lists. One for GameBoy and Super GameBoy, and the other for GameBoy Color.

So! My new request for Wiggy or anyone else is for two new banners.

I'm quite pleased with the original one Wiggy made, but I'd like that to specifically reflect the DMG GameBoy and the Super GameBoy.

Maybe, Top 100 GameBoy [and Super GameBoy] in smaller, styled font] games of all time!

and then create a similar banner for GameBoy Color.

Thanks! Once this is done I'm going to make an announcement and have some new content for you guys yet again! Sorry for this exteneded hiatus, I just want to do this thing right.

Hey everyone! I'm in preproduction of the revival of my editorial series on the top 100 GameBoy games. For various reasons, I've decided to switch formats and present this series as a twice-weekly video series on youtube. This new series will focus on the top 100 DMG/SGB GameBoy games with GameBoy Color in a future video series. This will strictly focus on the original grayscale games from 1989-1998.

I have basic editing skills, but I'm not a graphic artist. I plan to produce a 10 second video introduction sequence shown each episode with 10 seconds of rapid fire gameplay clips from many games. I can cover that no problem. 

However, if someone has video production skills and would like to help me out, I'd like to request a short 8-10 second animted title sequence based on the iconic GameBoy bootup sequence.

On the original model GameBoy, the Nintendo logo would decend from the top of the screen until in place and then an iconic beep would play.


If at all possible, I'd like the video series to mimick this, but instead of read "Nintendo", instead read

Maybe as a scaled pixelated looking image if raw text would be too small.

Finally, I'd like it to be contained in a nice looking frame of a DMG GameBoy. Something like this, but much better looking and since youtube is widescreen, there would need to be something to the far left and right.

I know this is a lot to ask, but I promise to deliver 100 episodes and make it entertaining and educational for GameBoy history. If anyone can help, I will be sure to credit you each and every episode.
